Turkish Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Fyi a few of the Chile dudes cdajfu imho I said this a while ago, I watch a lot of Chilean football and mentioned a few of them before on several HCDAJFU threads, of course everyone sneered.
lickierambert Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 The footballing world has left Lampard behind, unfortunately
Batman Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 The footballing world has left Lampard behind, unfortunately Rodriguez Jones Lampard Johnson been terrible Rooney Wilshere Lallana milner been good
corky morris Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Jay Rod very poor. Adam trying, but he wants t go & press the full back, but has clearly been told not too. Lampard & Milner shocking!
NewYorkSaint Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Lallana had a fine half in my opinion. Jay Rod, a few nice touches, no bad mistakes, but not seeing much of the ball.
SaintSteve Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 England are tactically inept which does not help the new players... but Rodriguez is a little boy lost at the mo..
Saint Charlie Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Huge lack of a proper holding CM. Bizarre tactics. Lallana a threat when he is allowed to come inside. Collective pressing is LOL compared to Saints.
The Kraken Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Lallana had a fine half in my opinion. Jay Rod, a few nice touches, no bad mistakes, but not seeing much of the ball. Think you might have your Saints specs on there. He randomly shovelled it straight out of play when trying to pass, and had a "shot" from 25 yards that barely made the goal. Lallana has got better after a nervy start but hasn't yet done himself any justice whatsoever. A decent benchmark for when others slag off the likes of Welbeck, Strurridge etc.
Bewildered Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Dreadful from England, Lallana has been as good as anyone out there for them (not saying much, really), Rodriguez has been poor unfortunately. Would not be shocked if he doesn't come out for the second half. No way Clyne is worse than Johnson. Chile play an a good pressing game (sounds familiar) and England look clueless as to how to stop them.
Special K Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 England game doesn't suit saints boys. JRod prob subbed half time. Adam should see out the game. He is better and showed some nice link play with Rooney. Moyes is probably getting his chequebook out.
Saint_Ash Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 I'd let lallana have a full 90, pains to say but I'd replace j-rod with Townsend and lamps with Barkley.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 15 November, 2013 Author Posted 15 November, 2013 Jrod looks lost in our team at times to be fair
studentsaint Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Our players are playing in the wro system. We play with the striker pressing and one of the cms helping. Lallana and j rod (Lallana more so) have been given very defensive roles in markig the full backs. Unfortunately j rod is scared of giving it away, therefore retaining possession by passing backwards. Johnson not helpig Lallana and I feel they show too much respect to some of the "stars" and should do what they do best.
Saint Garrett Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Lallana good, Jrod poor, Our CM is so so poor. Wilshere given the ball away so much. Lampard is just awful as always, Milner has been good. We seem to be doing a sort of half press, sometimes we press but it's all in 1s either press all together or sit on the half way line. We're at home FFS
Batman Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Jrod looks lost in our team at times to be fair be honest. he is a good player but we all though it would have been clyne ahead of him to be called up from our team
Glasgow_Saint Posted 15 November, 2013 Author Posted 15 November, 2013 be honest. he is a good player but we all though it would have been clyne ahead of him to be called up from our team I thought Clyne and Shaw would get in before Jay. Christ i thought Osvaldo would get an England cap b4 Jay
Bewildered Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Rodriguez only looks good for us when he is given license to rotate with the CF, never looks comfortable when he is asked to stay out wide and also why he looked so underwhelming for us under Adkins.
Patrick Bateman Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Johnson is an awful right back. Jones is, not a very competent centre back. Baines isn't as good as Cole. Lampard, "bless him", should step down now as he's looking past it. JRod, unfortunately, isn't ready for this. I like the idea of continuing to see Wilshire, Rooney, Lallana and on current form, Milner. Shame Gerarrd isn't playing today.
Wiggles31 Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Even with 2 Saints players England still manage to bore me to tears. Might have to switch over to McBusted.
disintegration87 Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Lallana's been involved in everything good so far really. Feel JRods just doing what he's been told but he's looking lost cos seems that roy's told everyone to do different things. Don't think the management put much thought into dealing with Chile's playing it out from the back Osvaldo with a superb touch as an assist for Italy's equalizer against Deutschland
Saint_Ash Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 What's happened to Ian Wright? He looks like a black uncle Fester!
sammysaint Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 In the International set up, Jay Rod would be better comming off the bench with 20-25 to go with a bit of energy and pace, his direct quick feet and cutting in will cause defences problems specially after having someone like Townsend or Walcott before hand giving them hassle. Lallana looks good, bar the bad Corner i cant think of a bad mistake that would make me say your looking ****, linking well with Rooney.
Saint86 Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Saints would be murder this England team. You can tell its all to slow for jay and Adam. Pressing is utterly dysfunctional and our lads don't know when to press or not. Always going to be a tough debut. Chile are a quality team... We're not talking about Poland or Ukraine or Moldova. This lot beat Spain with something to spare. Ads doing okay. Jayrod likes to run at team's. But if England don't get Chile on the back foot we are always playing through then and that doesn't suit him! Cone on saints!
Sheaf Saint Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Don't think J-Rod has done too much wrong really, apart from that tame half-hit towards goal when he had better options, but I won't be surprised if he is taken of at HT. Lallana has been good though - really got involved and made his presence felt, and had a couple of efforts at goal. A poor team performance from England though. Tactics seem sketchy and a few experienced players are having a mare. Lampard is a strange one - how is it that somebody can reach 100 international caps without ever actually having a single decent game? And in what twisted version of reality is Glen Johnson a better RB than Clyne?
Glasgow_Saint Posted 15 November, 2013 Author Posted 15 November, 2013 J rod reminds me of a lesser Paulo Wanchope. He always seems to bumble throw and looks V.surprised when he beats a man
Miltonaggro Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Lallana as good as anyone in an England shirt that half. JRod, poor, but should get the first fifteen minutes after half time. England ****e, and Forster looks like a poor mans Dave Beasant! I'd like to insert the World Cup into Andy 'Chelsea' Townsend...
Glasgow_Saint Posted 15 November, 2013 Author Posted 15 November, 2013 "pressing" is the new buzzword in soccer
Miltonaggro Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 "pressing" is the new buzzword in soccer Depressing...
edprice1984 Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 In more positive news France are losing! LOL!
The Kraken Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Unfortunately a really dreadful showing from JRod.
Bad Wolf Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Unfortunately a really dreadful showing from JRod. What an overreaction. He wasn't that bad. He did okay. Nothing special but okay.
Saint Charlie Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Saints are better than England. This.
Turkish Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Unfortunately a really dreadful showing from JRod. Didn't do himsel justice sadly.
Saint_Tony Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Feel sorry for J Rod, we won't be seeing him in an England shirt again. Lallana has done well, he's impressed defensively too
Roosk Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 J rod unlucky, played too deep to be effective... Would have liked to see the midfield pushed up higher so that he pressed on the full back (ala saints style) - may have got him 1 on 1 a little and enabled him to run at them a bit... Still at least he didn't get injured!
The Kraken Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 What an overreaction. He wasn't that bad. He did okay. Nothing special but okay. Tell me the things he did ok? OK means that he showed he should play again. Which parts were those? I'm interested to hear.
JoeShmoe Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Feel sorry for J Rod, we won't be seeing him in an England shirt again. Lallana has done well, he's impressed defensively too This, was out of his depths, but not helped by a dreadful midfield. AL and Wilshere have been best players by a long way
Batman Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 why on earth was johnson shooting from there
Saint_clark Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 How the f*ck is that a booking for Smalling, and not a red for Jara?
igsey Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Saints are better than England. Pompey are better than England.
CalneSaint Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 England are so slow at moving the ball....
igsey Posted 15 November, 2013 Posted 15 November, 2013 Lallana down injured... looks like he's holding his crotch...
Glasgow_Saint Posted 15 November, 2013 Author Posted 15 November, 2013 Oh **** bad injury for Lallana?
