Hypothetical Question

If Matty was around now would he have fitted into the Managers style of play?

Possibly not which would have meant losing so many good memories

Think the likes of Keegan, Channon, Walcott, Bale, Shearer would have suited our style of play but currently, as a unit, we are playing as well as the teams of the 1980's

Next few games will tell us a lot though

Hypothetically...if he was in the team when the style was adopted then he would have no chance! - however, if he had just arrived at the club as an apprentice, then I wonder whether he could have been nurtured into our style and then imagine how fecking brilliant he could have been!

No. If Ramirez being dropped because he doesn't work hard enough, in spite of his natural talent, is the truth, then MLT with similar qualities would have been dropped in favour of someone like Davis. Ridiculous though it sounds.

The question would be - how professional would MLT be if he was playing now? Could he get himself fit enough and introduce a work rate to fit? My guess is No, but thankfully we had the joys of MLT years ago when it didn't matter.
