Todays Saints related orgasm from the Daily Mail

It's getting absurd now. Has Cortese actually bought up the entire British press in order to not have to bother with PR officers?

It'll probably turn nasty when we lose 3-0 to Chile with the Saints players scoring 4/10 or less...:-)

Not the times on a Saturday. They pretend we don't exist.

The closest they ever come to admitting we're even playing is including us in the list of fixtures in the middle.

Someone has upset them big time.

Every other day of the week the times is fine

I liked this paragraph

Lallana was part of the acclaimed side which reached the FA Youth Cup final in 2005 and lost to Ipswich, although he was on the bench with Bale. Walcott started, as did Swansea winger Nathan Dyer, Ipswich’s David McGoldrick, Barnsley’s Martin Cranie and Blackburn striker Leon Best.

and to think it wasn't that long ago lots on here claimed we didn't need the media or want their attention. Guess we do now right?

No point saying f**k off.

The media is there to be used, after all they would use us for their own ends without a second thought. Makes sense to close ranks if it could damage us and be more open if it can benefit.

Sometimes we do need the media - You could argue Cortese needed and used them in the summer, with the "I will quit" stories.

At the moment they all seem to be gushing over us, which is nice, in the sense we can read how great we are etc. but there is still part of me that would like to be a little bit more below the radar. But this is the Premier league so whether we want their attention or not, it's tough luck, we've got it and there is nothing that anyone - Cortese including, can do a about it....... It just comes down to managing it in a way that could be used to our advantage ..... and I would say we are doing a pretty good job with that right now.

Didn't he say on Sky when he had become one of the first midfielders, or THE fiirst player to reach 100 premiership goals, "Just imagine if I could run!!":D

Love his testimonial program that had a load of lovely comments and then a few that basically called him one of the laziest players they had seen. Made me lol.

Bump

OK different tone today

First sign of negativity? Our new England boys Don't fit in??

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2503707/England-squad-arrive-The-Grove-hotel.html

New boys Lallana and Rodriguez need a guiding hand................

......Newbies Adam Lallana and Jay Rodriguez appeared to be far less certain about the national team's protocol. Let's hope this is the only time in the next fortnight they look out of place.
