Saint Lindford Posted 11 November, 2013 Share Posted 11 November, 2013 Gutted that I can't now go so 1 x adult ticket available to the first person to post e-mail contact details here. Can't do PM's so initial contact will have to be here then via e-mail to sort out details etc. Face value of course.

Sour Mash Posted 18 November, 2013 Share Posted 18 November, 2013 There is someone on the Twickets twitter feed offering tickets in the Arsenal end for £35, not a bad offer.
BedfordSaint Posted 19 November, 2013 Share Posted 19 November, 2013 Does anyone know of, or is anyone going with an under 16 or over 65 who is using an adult's ticket for any reason? Seems like a strange question but please let me know if so, I'll explain! pb_bpr10@hotmail.com Cheers

kwsaint Posted 19 November, 2013 Share Posted 19 November, 2013 I would assume he's got a concession ticket and wants to swap so he can get in on an adult ticket.

September Saint Posted 19 November, 2013 Share Posted 19 November, 2013 Nail on the head. Obviously happy to pay the difference plus some for the trouble. I doubt if the Arsenal stewards will notice/bother as it's almost certain to be unmanned gates. Give it a go if you haven't got an adult ticket. If you're worried, get a mate to go directly ahead of you and shout loudly i.e "Red Army" at the moment the concession light flashes at your gate. Chorlton Posted 20 November, 2013 Share Posted 20 November, 2013 Last season I had a spare kids ticket as my lad was ill and couldn't go so a mate used it instead. He decided to go to the Arsenal ticket office and explain what had happened and eventually they let him upgrade it to an adult one when he paid the difference. Good job he did as there were stewards on the gate who actually put the ticket through the scanner for you, so he wouldn't have got away with it. They tried to say that my ticket had already been used. They sent me over to a guy with some sort of hand held unit, who scanned it and then accused me of having a forgery. After a couple of minutes argueing and a supervisor coming over they said it was because id stuck a pin through the ticket (I pin them to a notice board in my utility room). There was a tiny hole in the ticket, they said that the whole ticket is read at arsenal not like at other grounds where its the bar code only.. It was strange because I had 4 tickets pinned up and mine was the only one affected. The point is, they were stright on me, so like your mate did if i was the op id go to ticket office first. ant Posted 21 November, 2013 Share Posted 21 November, 2013 I'm probably going to chance it and travel up on the day without a ticket, but if any end up going spare I'll gladly do the legwork to take it off your hands. Just need the one.

Was this just after you'd gone through the turnstile or when they inspected it before?
Lord Duckhunter Posted 21 November, 2013 Share Posted 21 November, 2013 Was this just after you'd gone through the turnstile or when they inspected it before? When I put it in the scanner it alerted a steward who came over. He then sent me to a guy with some sort of hand held scanner, he then rescanned the ticket. They didn't notice the tiny pin hole in the ticket until they acussed me of having a fake/used before one. I was adamant it wasn't so they started to look closely at the ticket and found the hole. The bloke with the scanner, then let me back in.

Lord Duckhunter Posted 22 November, 2013 Share Posted 22 November, 2013 (edited) Fair enough, sounds like it's next to impossible then. Looks like my first port of call will be their ticket office and some serious pleading! I would call the ticket office first thing fri. Ive ne it on a train once by telling them that my nipper was ill, and his older brother is using the ticket. I said the older brother is 18 so needs an adult ticket. They were grateful for my "honesty" and upgraded it with no additional admin charge( I just paid the difference, and it was an advance so they could have whacked a load on) Never asked to see the 18 year old and my mate used the ticket. You could even call them Fri and say my nipper is ill, if he doesn't recover can his 18 year old brother come and upgrade ticket. If they say yea, get to office early, that way if they ask to see this 18 year old, you can say he's travelling down from uni up north and won't arrive till 2.50pm. They won't want to be messing about with it that near kick off. Im sure they'll be ok, unless they've had issues before. But by contacting them first, you're acting like a reasonable person and not trying to get in on a nippers ticket ( in their eyes anyway). BedfordSaint Posted 23 November, 2013 Share Posted 23 November, 2013 Well, I risked it and it worked. Not even glanced at by a steward on the way in, never mind searched!
radders82 Posted 23 November, 2013 Share Posted 23 November, 2013 You could of upgraded at the arsenal ticket office as I sold 2 concessions and the ticket office at arsenal didn't have a problem with it. Although the saints ticket office instructed Arsenal not to do any upgrades apparently. Sent from my Nexus 10 using Tapatalk
