Colinjb Posted 11 November, 2013 Share Posted 11 November, 2013 Not Osvaldo, according to Garth Crooks it's Adam Lallana http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/24892583 The club captain was simply outstanding. Lallana was too quick and just too good in every department. There was an uncanny resemblance to Italian Roberto Baggio's game about his performance against Hull. His individual goal was a piece of individual brilliance - even actor Tom Courtenay, who was sitting next to England manager Roy Hodgson, had to applaud - despite being there to support his beloved Tigers. Enough plaudits have been given to Adam in the last day or so, he deserves a chance against either Chile or Germany. In seriousness (or otherwise....) do any of our current squad remind you of the playing styles of anyone else equally well regarded? Comparisons between Ward-Prowse and Scholes spring to mind. The9 Posted 11 November, 2013 Share Posted 11 November, 2013 Garth Crooks talks a massive amount of bo11ocks and this is no exception, he has clearly only seen the goal. Baggio never had that kind of workrate off the ball either.

Baggio never had that kind of workrate off the ball either. Neither have so many other players of the type! I would say that comparisons with Adam's close control ability are understandable though, particularly in terms of his balance, poise, quick feet and agility.
