Strangely confident

In the past if we were facing a string of games against Arsenal, Chelsea, Villa and Man City I would have expected us to drop down the rankings once it was all said and done. Now I am however strangely confident that at the end of that series of games we will still be at least in the top 6. If that indeed proves to be the case we could start seriously thinking about European football next season.

I don't feel like it's damage limitation for any games this season like it was last or even pre Cortese.

It's odd as I think we're more than capable of getting a result anywhere and maybe even nicking a win! Great times.

You're right though. See where we are come NYD, we might well still be up there.

Just been counting chickens that might hatch over the next couple of weeks and if we get a win and a draw from these next two away games, the title cannot be discounted. Its true that our squad depth is shallow if we get injuries or suspensions in the New Year but there is a solution to that. That solution is to open the cheque book in January in anticipation of he massive increase in income that can be earned from CL football. If we do get 4 points from those two games, I feel certain that Cortese will be seriously examining potential targets.

More confident about the Chelsea game than the Arsenal game, but anything is possible. Chelsea got lucky against WBA, Norwich gave loads to think about in recent weeks. I think we've got a great chance of getting at least 2 points from the 2 games.
