I was wondering more,if only very English team would gain us a bit more support or goodwill ,which in turn may gain us more supporters. I find it refreshing to see bright homegrown players pulling on our shirt.something that is reversing the erosion of the last 20 or so years

It's driven by media.

Carragher, Neville and Hansen start heaping praise on Saints and everyone else will do the same.

We seem to have a growing global presence as well - more and more people are getting involved across social besides Kenyans, Japanese etc with links to specific players.

I was at a kids party today and it was great to chat with all the Utd, City and Liverpool Dads there. They were all complimentary about Saints and impressed with how we are playing. The City fans weren't confident at getting a result when they play us

I commented that if Lovren got injured then we could struggle however the City view is that they are no different and depend on Kompany and Aguerro - as proved later in the day

Really refreshing to listen to the compliments!

'Superb' 'amazing' 'no reason why you can't make the champions league on what I've seen' are the comments I've had today from Leeds fans in my local. Of course I put them right.

Leeds - now there's a club that have paid their penance and should really be back in the big time again.

They will assume their club can copy us and play the same way but be better.

they'll have to wait a while for that - because that the vast majority of Prem.club managers AREN'T English and couldn't care a tinkers cuss about what happens to the national side.

.....strange that it takes an Swiss / Italian (?) and an Argentinian to fly the flag for us. :toppa:
