martel Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 My 16 year old goes to most of the home games and wants to get her shirt signed. how do you find out when the players are doing this? I did this for a good friends 40th birthday ten years ago, I simply went to the main reception area, asked to speak with someone who could help me with getting a shirt signed for a life long supporters 40th birthday, a guy came out (cannot remember his name) collected the shirt and told me to come back in a week, did just that and collected the shirt fully signed, the one autograph that sticks in my mind was Torpedo, remember him, of course Claus was their amongst all the others. Good luck and hope this helps.
Stevie61163 Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 My oldest lad had a picture of my youngest celebrating with SRL after his 90th minute penalty at WBA put onto canvas. When we played Swansea a few weeks ago he was down the stadium at 09:00am to get it signed by SRL. the players started arriving soon after this from The Chapel end car park. The only reason that I mentioned the opponents and time was to give you some idea what time to get to the ground for a regular 15:00 KO.........Good Luck
AndyRWatson Posted 12 November, 2013 Share Posted 12 November, 2013 Have taken my kids a couple of times this season to meet the players before a home game. Players arrive around 11:00 to 12:00 on a match day. Most park their cars Chapel stand side and enter via a door. Stewards barrier off the carpark to the gate so its obvious where to go Team management park in the opposite end of the car park and best caught down by the megastore entrance as they enter by the main entrance at the front of the stadium. All Tend to come back out the same gates around 1 to 1.5 hours after the game. never ceases to amaze me how friendly and accommodating they all are and more than happy to pose for photos and sign autographs. Should have no problems getting your shirt signed :-)
Matthew Le Tissier Posted 12 November, 2013 Share Posted 12 November, 2013 You will need to be on your toes if you do it after as a few players have little ways of avoiding sighing stuff. Osvaldo occasionally goes out the back door by the bike shed and runs through the industrial estate and gets picked up there. Also wanyama is known to do this some times. Discusting I think. Should take time out to sign for the young saints not try everything possible to avoid it! Apparently even mr shaw rings his dad just before exiting the door Si he can pull up to the big metal doors and jump in and sly off!! All very funny but very sad! trousers Posted 12 November, 2013 Share Posted 12 November, 2013 Players arrive around 11:00 to 12:00 on a match day. They used to arrive c.13:00 when Adkins was manager. The earlier arrival ties in with something I read the other day about the players doing some gym work before the on pitch warm-up before games. All part of the Pochettino fitness regime no doubt.
