Weston Super Saint Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 Ahhhh Ahhhh, saviour of the universe!! http://www.guardian.co.uk/uklatest/story/0,,-8143201,00.html Are the leaders of our country really convinced they are saving the world?
Saints1980 Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 Was quite funny. http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/video/Gordon-Brown-PMQs-Save-The-World-Gaffe/Video/200812215176477?
Johnny Bognor Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 How can this complete fool be running our world (sorry I meant our country)?
Robsk II Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 Yes, slipping up whilst speaking is certainly enough to make me think he shouldn't be in charge. What?
Johnny Bognor Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 Yes, slipping up whilst speaking is certainly enough to make me think he shouldn't be in charge. What? ...but president blair could at least string a sentence together. To think that this idiot used to run our economy, isn't it any surprise that we are where we are?
Jillyanne Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 Yes, slipping up whilst speaking is certainly enough to make me think he shouldn't be in charge. What? Genuis Rob. x.
Robsk II Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 I think you're adding 2&2, then getting 3449835687, bognor. Rather him run the economy than you on that basis.
Johnny Bognor Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 I think you're adding 2&2, then getting 3449835687, bognor. Rather him run the economy than you on that basis. During the "boom", I put enough away for a rainy day - shame he wasn't so prudent. When you say things like "a weak pound is the result of a weak economy caused by a weak government" or "no more boom and bust" you leave yourself open to ridicule. It was only a slip of the tongue... The problem is, people suspect that Gordon Brown might actually believe it. The fact that he is more concerned with grandstanding on the global stage rather than dealing with the fears of small businesses and homeowners caught between a Northern Rock and a hard place is worrying IMO. Perhaps he should "just get on with the job", to quote the man himself.

ottery st mary Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 (edited) Sarah told me once that he definitely wears a Batman uniform(might be Spiderman) under his clothes and jammies for special times when we the world need him. Jillyanne Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 Sarah told me once that he definitely wears a Batman uniform(might be Spiderman) under his clyhes and jammies for special times when we the world need him. Kinky.
ottery st mary Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 Kinky. I will not gossip about Sarah but she did go into great detail about Gordon and Tony when they used to be together and before Cherie split them up... Bit like, in The Village people, with all the different outfits.....Sorry, Slip of the tongue..Just goes to show how easy to get my words out but not necessarily in the right order or making any sense.......Oh! to be a p[olitician and dress up more often.

You do realise you can dress up without being a politician? Just for Fun have lots of outfits.
ottery st mary Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 You do realise you can dress up without being a politician? Just for Fun have lots of outfits. I have a red and white outfit. A yellow and blue outfit. Did not get the grey..Did not suit me.. Sometimes I even go out in these outfits and go to games where I think I am Superman and kick every ball...Sometimes better than the Bloody Saints players......Just in case and in order to get three points, I am going to dress up and go all the way to Burnley and if needs must, I will play....Now I am sounding like a politician....Bring back Gordon, If he can't save the world he can give some of the Banks Money to Saints..
Rocker268 Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 It always makes me wonder how they get anything done when you look at peoples reactions to something like that.... then again i think the current situation shows they dont get much done a lot of the time
St Landrew Posted 11 December, 2008 Posted 11 December, 2008 I think you're adding 2&2, then getting 3449835687, bognor. Rather him run the economy than you on that basis. I'd rather have Gordon running the economy than almost anyone else I can think of. What I don't want is Alistair Darling running the economy. Luckily, I think Gordon is overlooking AD's every move. As for his faux pas. I think rather a lot was made of nothing. After all, didn't Margaret Thatcher, in 1979, say something about.. Where there is discord, may we bring harmony. Where there is error, may we bring truth. Where there is doubt, may we bring faith. And where there is despair, may we bring hope. She may have saved the UK at the time, but by god didn't she sacrifice and divide the have and have-nots. Some hope and harmony. And I'm still not laughing about it either.
