......I'm not joking Roy....... they gave me 200k..............200k!...... I painted the away end for 10k........ The other 190k me and Les have stuffed in our jackets to keep out the cold! After the game , I'm going to blow the lot on a Swan pie baked by Heston and eat it at Arsenal. World class away catering my arse....... my packed lunch will lead where others simply follow.

Also what is this nonsense about us having a brilliant week, we were knocked out of the cup. A draw at Stoke, a cup elbow at Sunderland and a couple of England call ups doesn't in my opinion make for a brilliant week.

3 players called up for England, manager of the month, 4 straight league wins in a row, 3rd in the league, but our reserves lost. Apart from that just an ordinary week.

It was said at the beginning of the game so you can discount four home league wins and being third. MOTM and three players in the England squad doesn't make up for a draw against the third bottom club and a cup exit to the second bottom club.

A string of home wins is great, but if we have any pretensions of finishing up the top end of the table we have to beat teams that came up last year or teams around the relegation zone.

What like beating us last year

Our exit from the League Cup was a very wise tactical retreat.

it kind of does

otherwise we would have lost away to liverpool if games were done on paper

teams lose, we will lose at home. we will lose again where we all think it is a nailed on win

that is why bookies are rich and we all lose our money most weeks

I see that game being used by Poch as a "last chance saloon" for a few fringe players with Jay Rod being used as a support act.

Sadly I don't feel that any of them took the opportunity and hence confirmed Poch's underlying assumptions.

No names mind. I don't think it's difficult to work out who.

nice chance for the Argentinian Osvaldo near the end.
I noticed that. I yelled Italian at the screen. Argentinian born, perhaps, is what the 'tater would argue.

And isn't that Pope Francis bottom right?
Benali was made a pope?

Who is the guy with glasses next to Roy?

Looks like Murray Walker IMO. :-D

Please look at the results of the top 6 last season and see that they all dropped points at home to teams in the bottom half at some point or another.

What's the matter with you lot. I know we won't win every game and we will be beaten by lesser sides, I know how brilliant it is to be third in the league. Im not slagging the team off, I know it's against forum rules. I'm simply saying that MOTM and two new call ups doesn't make up in my opinion for the last two results, even if they are expected to happen at sometime. I don't care that Roy has chosen to pick them or that MP has got a bauble, it will have little impact on our season.
