Kaiser Soze Posted 9 November, 2013 Share Posted 9 November, 2013 Any idea why the club don't disclose how many tickets we get anymore? Just missed out on a Chelsea ticket so will be p1ssed off if I learn we've only taken half our allocation!
Turkish Posted 9 November, 2013 Share Posted 9 November, 2013 We have taken the smaller allocation.

Saint_clark Posted 9 November, 2013 Share Posted 9 November, 2013 You serious Rich? **** take if that's true. You could say fair enough given the price and it being on TV, but the fact we've sold out before reaching general sale shows that we could have sold a lot more IMO. Sour Mash Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 We take a limited allocation to encourage people to buy home game tickets for games that don't sell out. The club really aren't fussed if people travel away to support the team or not.
sandwichsaint Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 Getting seriously ****ed off with this smaller allocation malarky. I don't have a ST this season but looking to go to home/away games when it suits, would happily have done 6 homes, 6 aways if I could get tkts but no chance. Banking on going to Chelsea at 50 quid and on telly, i can't believe we've taken 1700 tkts. We had more than 1700 at Walsall midweek FFS!
sandwichsaint Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 Brentford (when KD pulled outa couple of worldies and Lloyd James scored a screamer). Rammed in the lower terrace and sold out in the seats in the upper stand. 1500+ ?
sandwichsaint Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 Swindon away, one of APs first games (where he kept Saganowski and Rasiak? on the bench and hung Patterson out to dry). Full on the terrace behind the goal, and two layers of seats sold out. 2000-plus.
sandwichsaint Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 Palace in the League Cup (the chuffing Lge Cup, midweek!) 2,500 plus.
sandwichsaint Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 Who is making the decision to take 1700 for Chelsea? Saints 3/4/5 in the Prem league with the best team and best football we have seen in most fans' lifetimes, can't get near a ticket. We could have sold 3000 for this! We wouldn't have sold 3k at £50 a pop. Should have used some of the £200k to subsidise tickets and take the full allocation. But the clu don't want people buying away tickets when there are home tickets still to be sold.

But the clu don't want people buying away tickets when there are home tickets still to be sold. You're probably right but just annoying that no away games (?) have gone anywhere near general sale. Ladysaint nailed it earlier in the week when she said (and I paraphrase) that we don't have 2000 fans going to every away game, we have 2000 ST numbers taking all the tickets but they are going to different people each week. Not sure what would be a better system but there seems to be quite a bit of untapped away demand not being met? Just to give you an idea of the numbers involved I would like to have gone to West Brom, Norwich, Arsenal and Chelsea and that's 3 or 4 tkts for each... 1700 for Chelsea? We took more to Walsall mid-week!
Orange Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 The fact the club never tells us the amount of tickets we've got also makes it impossible to plan ahead for games and guess if you'll be able to get tickets, unless you're at the top that is. ladysaint Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 At least we are not in the ballot situation yet for away tickets, I can't imagine what that would be like, but do agree the club should let us know how many tickets they are taking for each away fixture. JRM Posted 10 November, 2013 Share Posted 10 November, 2013 the smaller allocation at Chelsea is actually 1500 which I'd what we have. the bigger allocation is 3000 so we'd have had to sell double. seeing as we've sold out more than 3 weeks in advance to season ticket holders with 1 away game (didn't even make sale of just season ticket holders) then I think we might have got close to selling all 3000 on general sale

The club really aren't fussed if people travel away to support the team or not. How does that work just ****es me off and makes me feel less inclined to buy a home ticket. Judging by the fact we're third and still can't sell out home games I'm not the only one that finds the club's cynical attitude underwelming - proof if proof were needed that the fans are not important and just another cash cow to be milked dry Sorry if that sounds negative but its basically the way it is
