Barry Sanchez Posted 9 November, 2013 Posted 9 November, 2013 last minute to an absolute crazy decision by the referee (note I hope no diving or anything like that but a poor poor decision), that was shocking and I feel for the Baggies fans, Maureen should have had some class and said at the very least it was soft.
Turkish Posted 9 November, 2013 Posted 9 November, 2013 Shocker wasn't it, not quite sure what he's seen there, never a pen in a million years.
SNSUN Posted 9 November, 2013 Posted 9 November, 2013 I think Ramires tripped before he's even got to the challenge. And I say "tripped", giving him the benefit of the doubt - otherwise it was a dive. Terrible refereeing, denied WBA fans a victory. Surely the bigger teams have a monopoly over the refs... OK I only watched the highlights, but Chelsea look poor at the moment. There for the taking... :-)

KelvinsRightGlove Posted 9 November, 2013 Posted 9 November, 2013 I know it's counter intuitive to your predisposition to b!tch and moan about everything, and certainly flies in the face of revelling in any defeat, BUT, surely as a Saints fan you would hope we beat every opponent?

Of course it is but the thread was written about the manner of victory Kevin.
Lord Duckhunter Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 I thought ours was a soft peno first day of the season Bazza. Lets just hope that the wba players don't "really want to beat" us come the return fixture.
Wade Garrett Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 If that had happened at the other end, Marriner would have given a yellow card for diving. Mourinho's comments at the end show how classless he is, and insults our intelligence. The referee should have explained his decision on camera at the end of the game, and Ramirez should get a retrospective 3 match ban for diving. Only the authorities are against this as favouring the 'big' sides keeps them on top and makes games easier to sell abroad.
whelk Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 Obviously hope for positive results in both games but enjoy more against Chelsea. Classless club in so many ways and Mourinho's arrogance just makes them more odious. Let's hope he is celebrating his unbeaten home record 2 weeks today
adrian lord Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 We will beat the Chelski scum and get a draw at Emirates.
John Boy Saint Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 If that was a penalty then we had 2 nailed on Pens at Sunderland midweek. our one at WBA wasn't soft Luke had his jet boots on the defenders backed off but matey couldn't stop fast enough and bingo clipped him, penalty cheaply given away.

I can imagine most professional footballers want to win against their opposition Ducky.
Barry Sanchez Posted 10 November, 2013 Author Posted 10 November, 2013 I really hope we beat everyone! Again the manner of the victory, I wish people would read what is written.
Saint Charlie Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 Mourinho has made more bad decisions than good since he came back, has ruined the confidence of their best player, loaned out their best striker and generally seems to have let the hype go to his head.
cellone Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 I hope we beat them on sporting ability alone. We would look as bad as them if we win by an unfair decision.
S-Clarke Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 Trying not to be over confident, but I reckon we can go there and ruffle a few feathers. They're not playing great this year, whereas we know our game inside out. Good opportunity to visit them.
John Boy Saint Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 I hope we beat them on sporting ability alone. We would look as bad as them if we win by an unfair decision. Us get an unfair decision, based on refs performances this year so far, and away at Chelsea or Arsenal: pigs fed and ready for take off spring to mind. Chelsea should be interesting as MP stated that he is looking forward to crossing swords again with both Mourinho and Pelligrino (sp?).
