Call me a killjoy but that chant leaves me cold and smacks of small time

Also I thought the atmosphere was pretty subdued today. Great in the first half then just petered out. And I still don't think its up there with the championship when st Mary's really rocked.

Item 1. I think Mr Sherlock needs to get over his feelings of self importance....... and get a life.

Item 2. We don't go to a football match to engage in social judgement.

Item 3. If you go to a football match to engage in social judgement, then see Item 1.

You looked like this today, pretty cool huh! Only not quite as cool as its not our song but looking at these guys and being thought not quite as cool as them is probably quite an achievement pal.

Agreed - it wasn't the best atmosphere by any means. The second half especially was like a library for the first 10 minutes or so - then the continuous OWTS started and it picked up again.

Still, the Kolo/Yaya Toure song isn't as dreadful as that generic song that Hull were singing and Swansea and and and.

Did they do 'mauled by the tigers'?

....Easily my favourite new chant of recent times, was great today when it got properly loud after Steven scored!

Epic effort to the crowd today in general!

It never got loud thankfully, as most normal folk realised it was s**t.

Not a great chant. But my god a few of you are miserable. Not sure if take advise of what's "cool" from somebody who spends their life on an Internet forum thanks.

I'll join in from now on....

Just wondering, when did we last have an original song/chant ?

Utterly s**t, pointless song, why would anyone sing it?

As oposed to singing nothing at all.

Yes it is pants, but would you prefer to sit in silence?

Always easy to criticise. Come up with an alternative chant instead. Probably too scared to get put down on here.

We do need some new original songs now.

We've got no shortage of songs. How about singing about the players that are actually on the pitch? F**k knows what Boruc thinks about all the wallys stood behind him singing about Kelvin Davis.

Completely agree. That got going with both Davis' on the bench. It's sh*t and really not funny.

The Artur Boruc song however...

What were the new songs? Heard the England ones but was watching at home. Atmosphere gets going at st Mary's once we scored and are playing well, so 1st half yesterday. I remember when the chants and atmosphere inspired performance on the pitch, not the other way around.

The atmosphere was pretty good from the start, and obviously got better and better through the first half. Went a bit flat for a while in the second half when Wanyama got them back in the game, but was good overall.

Steven/Kelvin made me laugh, in fact all of our "new" songs (I counted 6, not including the England ones, though I wasn't at the Fulham match) were pretty decent - even the This Is How It Feels thing was obviously being sung as "Tell Us How It Feels", so half of my complaints about that have gone now.

He's probably glad he's got his own song, even if it does involve having a party with vodka and charlie.

Victor Wanyama was being sung at hyperspeed and sort of worked.

Steven/Kelvin was amusing, Dani Osvaldo nicking the Gaston tune is a little awkward (have we had the startling revelation that Gaston's probably already with Uruguay yet after the comments about Suarez being flown to Turkey by Liverpool for the World Cup play-off and that's why he was able to play but Ramirez wasn't, or has everyone just assumed he was dropped?).

There was a James Ward-Prowse "used to be a Skate..." song but there was another more popular one which I've pretty much forgotten, and I think that's the 6 new songs (not England-based). Add to that the 3 players "off to Brazil" and "Southampton Off to Brazil" and that's 10 songs I hadn't heard more than about twice before October started all in the mix. Not bad going.

Those complaining that we don't sing a song about Boruc obviously didn't bother going up to Stoke. The support he got for the rest of the game after 'that' goal was outstanding, and he grew in confidence.

i agree with this. Terrible song.
