Saints v Hull - Match thread

Hull have looked half decent since they got promoted, but today they are receiving a proper footballing lesson. Just following on from where we left off against Fulham - total composure on the ball and maximum workrate when we lose it.

In years gone by we would still be nervous even when leading 3-0 because we all knew there was a good chance we would f**k it up, but not this team.

Good times indeed.

I personally don't think that Hull have been awful so far today. We've just played that well. In fairness to them, they've been nowhere near as bad as Palace or Fulham at SMS in recent memory.

JWP's deliveries are just getting better and better. At first I thought the comparisons with David Beckham were a bit OTT but the way he's playing at the moment they are starting to look well justified.

Who the ***** is Beckham, have you seen this boy Lallana?!

Lallana's goal was steady passing in the middle third. He picks the ball up 35-40 yards out then proceeds to glide past 4-5 players 'the long way round' and jink back inside drop the shoulder and place it in the far corner. It was sheer and utter class and to do it when you have just been picked for England and the gaffers watching is priceless. His pace has come on so much this season. He has always had quick feet but he frightens players now...
