Just curious as to whether anyone knows why this place closed down? The food was really good and it always seemed to do OK for punters.

 

Have they moved perhaps?

Thought the same thing a couple of weeks ago when we went out for the first time since the little 'un turned up. Was always our Thai of choice, it's now takeaways from Thai 2 Go.

 

Would be curious to know what's happened to Joy & co.???

Has it!?!? Bummer, not been there for ages (obviously) but was a regular for many years, best Thai food around and excellent hosts. Starter platter and then a green curry was heaven.

Leelawadee on Commercial Road is very nice (although small).

My sources tell me that they sold it because like many Orientals, they like to gamble and had to sell to settle debts.

 

But in my opinion, Sara's was the better Thai food. I slso hear good reports of the one in the Precinct, Chandlers Ford. Also the new one in Jewry Street, Winchester sounds promising.
