Possible Pompey Meeting in the FA Youth Cup

Just under 2000 tickets sold in blocks 1-4 according to official site. However, due to the online ticketing fiasco that doesn't allow you to view seats in block 2 (seat numbers 15 to 40, home to my ST seat, so can't buy tickets in that area for some mental reason) the just under 2000 number is 1,3 and 4 only and we have probably sold a lot more in the total 1-4 area over the phone/ people collecting in person.

With walk up should be about 3000 of us there + however many tickets the skates have sold (literally no more than a handful will turn up with no tickets, despite the myths they are peddling safely in a PO postcode.

Anyway, I'm done for the day and off into town to get on the lash. Up the Saints!

"They're a category one club and they spend absolute fortunes on their academy whereas we're the bare bones - we scrape by and do the best we can"

"They've spent some money on buying players from other clubs to put into their U18s. We haven't got the luxury of doing that so its all local lads. Our local lads will go out there with pride to prove a point that its not the be all and end all that they go out and buy players from other clubs and make them stronger"

"We've sold over 500 tickets, going on towards 600, with more turning up on the night"

I think he's mistaking an academy that youngsters from all over the country want to come and play for as one that just splashes the cash.

FFS just been reading about the skates u18s winning 8 in a row going into this match, I will not be happy if I have to sit through another home cup defeat to them while 600 odd of them goad us from the Kingsland.

that's not a bad following for them in this cup, they'll make some noise, let's hope our fans are up for it as well , get behind the lads.

It's their cup final.

It's their cup final.

i know if we lost people will just say, oh well its only the youth cup etc, but it will still feel f*cking horrible sitting there watching it, i'm not even sure if i am going to make the match yet, but if i do just hope it's a win.

i'll never forget in 2009 we had that horrible 4-1 defeat, a couple of months later on Semi Final weekend i was in London visiting a mate, timed my journey back to Waterloo badly and ended up mixed in with all the Skates coming back from their 1-0 semi final win v Spurs at Wembley.

Going up the escalator an entire family were decked out in t-shirts celebrating "The Massacre of St Marys, scummers 1 v 4 Pompey"

depsite being in league 2 their punishment has still not been enough in my opinion
