Harrison Reed, Rowe, Turnbull and Sam Gallagher?? Think there will be a surprise player too.

Would be great to have another winger or a forward come through.

Watching the youngsters come through is probably my favourite thing at the moment with Saints. Makes me sound like Glitter!

Since Reed, Gallagher and Isgrove were all in the squad for the League Cup game at Sunderland hasn't the question already been answered? As with Chambers, the problem for them all is that there are established first team players ahead of them in the first choice 11 but as the season goes on and injury or suspension creates gaps, chances will come.

I personally think Isgrove will be gone at the end of the season. Too lightweight and not technically good enough. He's not a youth teamer any more really either. Think he got a one year contract in the offseason; I doubt it will get renewed.

Been very impressed with Harrison Reed both times I've seen him.

Only seen once on Juddervision but heard DM's glowing praise on Saintsplayer.

Certainly would not be concerned if he had to sit on the bench in the New Year as cover for any PL games from now on, but not yet ready for a start.

We're going to have a very strong spine of young Academy players as the back up to the first team squad for next season

And let's not forget young Sinclair either

I thought this was going to link nicely into another golf and beer story, where you did both with another Harrison, Harrison Ford, who knew everything there was to know about saints and you spent the whole night necking zambuca singing the Jose Fonte song.

My Golf is next week Turk's. It's your personal event at the moment, glad to see you can get 3G in Anatalya.

Impressed you could stump up $1.5 million to get to meet Tiger.

I dont think sinclair, stephens, turnball and isgrove will progress into 1st team regulars.

Rowe looks to have ability but would have thought Poch would have took up to Sunderland if he felt he was ready to make step up

Sam Gallagher could me the next Rickie Lambert, he will learn so much from Lambo which could explain his integration into 1st team fold.

We all know how good Shaw, Ward-Prowse and Chambers are.

We hear lots of references to others who are making good progress. Who else can we expect to see make it to the first team squad in the next couple of years?

i know it's nice to look forward, but isn't the next few YEARS a bit too far? how do we know really who will come from the u18's in the next two? look at shaw, it isn't really beyond the realms to think that if he hadn't been given a chance he wouldn't be where he is now. that he is good enough is amazing, and well done to all involved, but our hopes should be that at least three youngsters come through, from wherever they play, by the end of next year. whatever happens, when our boys come through, then make an england squad, whatever level - still unreal feeling- the whole of the club gets an amazing buzz about it. hopefully no real feel to leave when we can achieve things here. yes of course, some will, we all know that, but keeping them coming through, then playing them is fantastic.

my only real worry, and there is nothing i can do about it, because it is experience after all, is that one day we get our own goalkeeper. that would be something really special, and if he made it to the england no 1, that would cement the acadamy as the worlds foremost place to be.
