mulletsaint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Hmm.. looks a tough one to come back from now. With our bench, yup.
Mr X Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 tbf sunderland have deserved that slightly the better team in a dire match
Barry Sanchez Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 That was a great save but ****ing **** defending, who was marking the far post? 6 men around a bouncing ball? ****e.
SNSUN Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Meh. Still time to get back into this but I'm not holding my breath.
UpweySaint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Not exactly a worldie but they all count, maybe worth chucking Lallana on and going for it!
Batman Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Price you pay for putting out the 2nd team. Disappointing. that is what they have done so to speak?
BadgerBadger Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Not looking good......need to be more direct
Saint Charlie Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 No way we will get anything unless Lallana comes on.
Leicestersaint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 We generally seem to lack urgency -some of our players need to start running a bit faster!
SaintBobby Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 that is what they have done so to speak? Not really, no. They've made a lot of changes (seven?), but they are fielding a team of players who typically or often play in the Premiership. We have only 1 or 2 of our startng XI out there.
Noodles34 Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Debating whether to stick with this tosh, or watch Arsenal or Celtic or maybe The Ambassadors. Though maybe I will miss a blinding performance by Gaston?
Barry Sanchez Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Why have we not started we our strongest side? Are we winning the League this year?
jasonb Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 bugger missed a goal putting my son to bed... what happened?
Barry Sanchez Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Debating whether to stick with this tosh, or watch Arsenal or Celtic or maybe The Ambassadors. Though maybe I will miss a blinding performance by Gaston? He plays like Stevie Wonder............................
Mr X Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 bugger missed a goal putting my son to bed... what happened? sunderland bundled it across the line from a good initial save
Glasgow_Saint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Not really, no. They've made a lot of changes (seven?), but they are fielding a team of players who typically or often play in the Premiership. We have only 1 or 2 of our startng XI out there. Only Reed on the pitch now doesnt have prem experience
Noodles34 Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 bugger missed a goal putting my son to bed... what happened? They scored
Sheaf Saint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Price you pay for putting out the 2nd team. Disappointing. Yep. Shame we didn't take this game a little more seriously, but considering it's our reserve team against a near-full-strength Sunderland side who are already looking a lot better under Poyet, we have given a decent account of ourselves. Def should have ben a pen there though. Defender had hold of Chambers arm and dragged him over.
BlakeySFC Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 We've conceded (big surprise). I honestly couldn't give a sh!t, more interested in the Dortmund Arsenal game to be brutally honest.
sidthesquid Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Can't watch any more - hte steam has slowed to a puddle! Observations - we conceded a classic Kelvin goal - Ramirez thinks every game should be played at 'friendly' pace - Reed looks useful - we aren't ever going to score a goal
Noodles34 Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Should have been a penalty. Do you watch much football?
SaintBobby Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Why have we not started we our strongest side? Are we winning the League this year? Could have understood not fielding our absolute strongest side, but to field virtually none of our strongest side is annoying. Quite possibly squandered a chance of a great cup run.
mulletsaint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Good move, should've hit it first time Didn't fancy hitting it with his wrong foot.
UpweySaint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Cliche but had Colbacks tackle been anywhere else on the pitch ...he's got Chambers arm and has pulled him down, a foul for sure, how much of one is speculative.
Shroppie Posted 6 November, 2013 Author Posted 6 November, 2013 Got a feed at last. Seem to be on top now.
Noodles34 Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Should have been a penalty. Do you watch much football?
Rebel Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 I was hoping we were going to try and win thus game with the pay-off of a home game against Chelsea in the next round! More than that I was hoping we were actually going to try and win one the cups this year! We just don't have enough strength in depth to put out a second string against a team like Sunderland and win.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Now we can focus on finishing 7th - 10th! Are we the new Fulham?
raynesparksaint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 We've conceded (big surprise). I honestly couldn't give a sh!t, more interested in the Dortmund Arsenal game to be brutally honest. So you came on a match thread to tell us you aren't interested in the match? Thanks for that
Noodles34 Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 We've conceded (big surprise). I honestly couldn't give a sh!t, more interested in the Dortmund Arsenal game to be brutally honest. Whats the score, I am tempted
Grey Crab Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 I think it's quite nice when we lose games. It gives a few of you guys something to get excited about. We've been doing so well recently, it must have been quite rubbish for some of the posters on here.

SaintBobby Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Only caught a juddery replay, looked like a good-ish pen shout for the tackle on Davis rather than the initial one on Chamnbers.
Noodles34 Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Should've been a pen according to 5live extra No chance
Dr Who? Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Seems that Europe through the league is the main priority then. Still over 20 minutes left to force extra time! COYR!
Grey Crab Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Do you watch much football? Do you have any friends?
Lazlo78 Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 I'm happy that the team is more composed and professional about the game than most people on here. Enjoy - it's a football game!
Appy Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Seems like they are only slightly less dog turd?
