I have often wondered about the judge thing, not just for this game show but for a lot of the stuff on TV in Japan. There are a few gaijins or foreign 'experts' that they sometimes use for stuff like this. It is big business. I had a mate before (actually he was a knob but a friend of a friend) who tried and did succeed on getting on to a couple of TV programs.
