Wanyama's spin move and other out of character footballing moments

Was unexpected, but class. Was hoping someone might have put it up on the net, but can't find it anywhere..

In the hope of sparking conversation - Victor's been a great signing for us, but the 'showboat' isn't exactly his strength. What other players have had moments that could be considered completely out of their footballing character? Delap and Crouch come to mind. Any others? I guess any of Rickie's rare misses easy misses could be put in that category. Likewise with Suarez not being a cu*t. Nominate away!

Fabrice Fernandes positioning himself near a long range free kick and jumping with both hands in the air to stop it. The whole ground were looking at him as if to say 'WTF' and it's any wonder he didn't get sent off.

Only would have been a yellow card, though it has inspired me to say "Fabrice Fernandes driving straight for goal on a quick breakaway and definitely not making crop circles on the half way line".

Wayne Thomas's screamer - I'm the cup I think. Also seem to remember cartlon "the legend" Palmer scoring a van basten-like far post volley?

Chris Baird likewise in a game against Cardiff. Bale was lining up the FK and nobody expected Baird to shoot instead. Won goal of the season I think.

James Ward-Prowse whipping in a mental spinning and dipping right footed free-kick.

But only the first time he did it.

Ditto Bale taking a free kick in early 2006/7 season.

Wouldn't say that was 'out of character' as we didn't *know* their character (or rather, their ability) at that point...

Most of the other examples are pretty good though, because we'd seen plenty of the player and would not have expected it from them.
