Has anyone had any experience using a Roku?

 

Looking at getting one as a media device for my 'dumb tv' as it still works fine and can't justify buying a new one.

You might want to take a look at a WDTV Live. Streams all the usual and seems a bit more flexible playing your own media files, either from USB or network storage. I've got one of the older models that has been rock-steady and has played virtually any file format I could throw at it.

Have just read up on these on their website, and haven't got the first clue what they're going on about or where to start.

 

That usb/HDMI cable will do for me....much more simpler to use
