According the website it now is.

Very disappointing, especially personally as Dad went down the ticket office yesterday only to be informed that the away tickets for Stoke did not count towards the eligibility for buying during the 'season ticket holders who have been to one away game' period. This needs to be clearer.

To be fair I thought this was very clear beforehand? Well certainly to me and others at Stoke that were gutted we weren't counted as the "2 aways" last week, instead had to queue up yesterday and got one OK. Not one to stick up for our shambles of a ticket office but on this occasion, to me anyway, it was pretty clear Stoke didn't count - although on a rather different point I'd argue that it should have.

We specifically checked the website to be sure but it wasn't stated. C'est la vie now anyway, will know to be more careful in future.

How much clearer can they make it???

All sales dates are subject to remaining ticket availability. Please note that only games that have been played prior to the first on-sale date above – Tuesday 29th October – will count as credits for this fixture. For the avoidance of doubt, these games are: West Bromwich Albion (17/08/2013), Barnsley (27/08/2013), Norwich City (31/08/2013), Liverpool (21/09/2013) and Manchester United (19/10/2013).

It was pretty clear which games were included. I hadn't even considered going and I knew Stoke wasn't included from reading this site.

Head in hands moment....

Not that I wish to pass the buck onto Dad at all.... but well, he was adamant... and far be it to second guess my own father.

Lesson learnt!

TBF Colin, this was one of their clearer and logical decisions. People were buying tickets for the cheaper games, such as Barnsley and then returning them, so as they could claim a ticket for Liverpool/Man U. They decided that the Stoke price would lead to more.

They listed the games that counted.

what really annoys me about the ticket office is their unwillingness to disclose the allocation we have and keep it a secret.

Went with a mate on Saturday who didn't have a ticket - we went and asked in their TO what the situation was with away tickets - and he said cash turnstile.

I asked how many did he think we had available, and he said he had no idea as they didn't know the allocation. One of the other blokes just laughed, and said "They don't even tell their own fans how many tickets they've got, they're not going to tell us!" He turned his screen round and showed us we had 4 blocks, and said he reckoned the allocation was about 2800-3000, though he still didn't know exactly.

See no reason why they're so keen to keep this quiet - it's all very strange.

I got in Arsenal without a ticket a few years back with Pavsaint when WGS was manager. Cash in gate home end. Wear a suit or smart casual. Don't sing saints songs or cheer when / if we score. Neither was a problem.

If you go this year id be very surprised if there's not tickets available outside from touts. Wait til kick off and just after and they will be cheap as chips.

Whats the deal with sitting in the home end? Keep your head down and smile or is the Emirates a bit more away fan friendly?

If you jump and down then there will always be someone nearby who'll take umbrage and if you don't get lumped you're just as likely get thrown out by the stewards.

Just because the Emirates doesn't come across as an intimidating bear pit it also doesn't mean they haven't got a nawty mob.

Fair enough! I'll learn some Gunners songs for the day and bite my tongue when Saints put them to the sword :)
