Saint_Jonny Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Hmmm. Will be a tough ask getting through this one. Sunderland may be a carp team this season, but at least they have put their team out tonight. Some good players for us, yes, so we'll see how it goes.
Unbelievable Jeff Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 7 changes sinc. The weekend for Sunderland, so maybe not their strongest side.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Battle of the second string as i suspected. We have a much better 11 on paper....... Head says 4-0 to us, heart says 5-0 Pmsl, yolo
Leicestersaint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 I really think we should be trying to win tonight - hopefully we will but it will be tough.
dubai_phil Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 IF all the reports are correct then whatever the result tonight, this could be a match for everyone to remember 'Arry Reed's full debut. And, IF the scriptwriters are awake tonight, the moment Tadanari Lee came in from the cold and showed we had a world class striker at the club already. Meh that second one is just wishful beer speaking, but good luck to Harrison Reed
CB Fry Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Disappointing line up but, hey, we might win anyway, and progress in this competition that is utterly beneath us.
Batman Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 I really think we should be trying to win tonight - hopefully we will but it will be tough. as opposed to trying to do what?
dubai_phil Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Where does reed play? Cm? Yep, Dave Merrytown reckons he IS the new Paul Scholes. "Showed reeeeeeeel promissse" in the previous two rounds
Shroppie Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Where does reed play? Cm? Not sure. Could Lee and Reed be playing wide with Gaston in the hole?
Tom28 Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Davis Chambers Yoshida Hooiveld Fox Cork Reed Davis Ramirez Isgrove Lee Gazza, Fonte, Rodriguez, Rowe, Seager, Lallana, JWP Thought Reed might get a start; he's looked impressive off the bench in the last rounds. Only JRod for Isgrove I got wrong. Surprised JRod is playing; I suspect that means Osvaldo will be coming in for him on Saturday.
Hamilton Saint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 as opposed to trying to do what? As opposed to fielding a weaker team in order to rest players or avoid injury to first-team regulars.
aintforever Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 It's a shame how money rules football nowadays, I'm getting less and less interested by the day.
dubai_phil Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 (edited) K. Davis ©, Chambers, Yoshida, Hooiveld, Fox, -----------Cork, Reed, ----- ------Lee, Ramírez, S. Davis,---- -------Rodriguez---- My guess at how we will line up Edited 6 November, 2013 by dubai_phil duh SD & TL on wrong sides
Minsk Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 [/b] I'd pretty much go with that one Minsk, Lee has got himself back on the bench - at least- and deserves an outing. Ramirez 'cos he cost £12 million and must retain his value whether he stays or goes (in January). Jay Rod because he's the in-form striker, and Osvaldo because he's not I only got one player wrong - Reed vice JWP

sandwichsaint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Great news that Lallana has travelled. For someone with his history, and for someone that was regularly being subbed on 70 mins, his 'numbers' must be really good at the moment. A key player for us this season so hopefully he won't get on tonight .
Batman Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 As opposed to fielding a weaker team in order to rest players or avoid injury to first-team regulars. are you saying we are trying to lose?
sentry Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 It's a shame how money rules football nowadays, I'm getting less and less interested by the day. How so? What is this in ref too?
aintforever Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 How so? What is this in ref too? Putting out a weak as sh!te side in a competition we have a decent chance of winning just to rest players for the Prem.
CB Fry Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 are you saying we are trying to lose? as opposed to trying to do what? Little masterclass in professional Delldays-ing going on right now.
Batman Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Putting out a weak as sh!te side in a competition we have a decent chance of winning just to rest players for the Prem. we could always put a weak side out on saturday.
Scoobysaint Posted 6 November, 2013 Posted 6 November, 2013 Would love to see Gaston have a blinder tonight just to show the whinging few that he is a player.
