krissyboy31 Posted 1 November, 2013 Share Posted 1 November, 2013 (edited) I Posted this in General Sports because first and foremost it is a sports documentary. It's called "Slammin' Sam" and follows the story of Sam Burgess and his 3 brothers who all play rugby league in Australia's NRL for Russell Crowe's South Sydney Rabittohs. It also tells the story of their father, who they all idolised and his losing battle to Motor Neuron Disease. Now I follow rugby league avidly and am currently thoroughly enjoying the world cup (in which 3 of the Burgess brothers are representing England). However, more poignantly My brother-in-law was diagnosed with MND in February. There is no cure and a grim diagnosis. The documentary for me was very personal. However, if you know nothing about RL or MND, I think anybody who takes the time to watch it will find it inspirational and be moved to close to tears. Let me know what you think. http://bit.ly/1h05d5R More info about MRD can be found here. https://www.facebook.com/mndassociation Edited 1 November, 2013 by krissyboy31
