studentsaint Posted 31 October, 2013 Share Posted 31 October, 2013 Looking at the next 2 games, I predict that we could face arsenal having tied them on points. Then at the point we start playing the better teams, everyone else seems to be playing each other too. By the time we play these teams there could well just be goal difference separating us. Before the arsenal game I see it as: Chelsea 26 Liverpool 24 Arsenal 24 SAINTS 24 Spurs 23 City 22 Everton 22 United 18 By this time I think we will be treated with a lot of respect and I don't see us dropping too far when we play these big teams as they all seem to play each other at the same time. Plus we can definitely get some points. Look forward to seeing the Xmas league table.

studentsaint Posted 31 October, 2013 Author Share Posted 31 October, 2013 we will lose sat Blind pessimism? As far as I see it, our fitness would overrun them like it does every team. This gap will only have been widened after their 120+ minutes midweek and our week off to focus on this very game.

SNSUN Posted 31 October, 2013 Share Posted 31 October, 2013 we will lose sat I agree I'm a little worried about this game, Stoke are notoriously difficult to beat - but with Hughes coming in and changing their philosophy, which is still in the early stages of taking hold, there isn't really a better time to play them. Play as we know we can and we could surprise them. My money is on a draw but I wouldn't bet against us winning.

Two wins - (Palace, West Ham) Two draws - (Man City, West Brom) Five defeats - (Liverpool, Arsenal, Norwich, Fulham, United)
doggface Posted 31 October, 2013 Share Posted 31 October, 2013 If we play as we have done in most games this season then I can see a narrow win. 2-1 saints. same team as Saturday with hopefully a stronger bench with dani & davis
mitch01 Posted 1 November, 2013 Share Posted 1 November, 2013 We are getting ahead of ourselves. I'd be absolutely delighted with top 8, but wouldn't be surprised with lower. Stoke will be tough, and we are still streets behind the top six in terms are strength in depth. Enjoy the ride, no need to worry about where we are in ration to the big clubs. John Boy Saint Posted 1 November, 2013 Share Posted 1 November, 2013 Bloody iphone: *terms of *relation Never fear when you have had one for a while you don't see it when you are the reader, which is a bit worrying as Apple auto assume will creep into everyday language and we will all end up writing like half-wits as the norm.
