Sour Mash Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 As I said on the other thread, our results will affect the outcome. We've already undermined Man U and Liverpool's top 4 credentials. So Chelsea Arsenal Man City Saints Every team in the league's results will affect the outcome of the top 4.

SNSUN Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 Man City Chelsea Arsenal Liverpool but my God is it hard to choose this year. You could make excuses for Man U picking up their form and enough points to get in, Spurs with their "much improved" squad, and yes even Us, little old Saints, if we really can continue something resembling our current form all season. (Which would mean routinely picking up points from bottom half clubs and sneaking the odd win or three against the "top sixers".
DanW Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 Southampton Arsenal Chelsea United Duh. How wouldn't Saints be first?
S-Clarke Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 Southampton Arsenal Chelsea United Duh. How wouldn't Saints be first? We'd be second, the perennial under achievers.
dubai_phil Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 Just a small town team Living in a lonely town We took the midnight train going up north Strangers waiting Walking down the Boulevard (to Wembley) Citeh hiding somewhere in the night Yeah you lot can rewrite that

Spurs miss out, Man Utd miss out, and who would bet against us and Everton also not getting top 6. Going to be the most open season for a long time. Hope Man Utd go down ?
SaintBobby Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 Arsenal Liverpool Chelsea Man City (Saints about 8th)
Barry the Badger Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 We've had a relatively easy start, and have played some of the best football many have ever seen from us, some of the top teams are struggling, and we are still only 5th. That tells you all you need to know about our top four chances and the strength of the richer clubs.
trousers Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 (edited) We've had a relatively easy start, and have played some of the best football many have ever seen from us, some of the top teams are struggling, and we are still only 5th. That tells you all you need to know about our top four chances and the strength of the richer clubs. If you go back and read some of the post match threads/reports from August/September we were scraping decent results whilst not performing at our best. It's only October that we've started playing near our best I would venture. So I would tend to disagree we are where we are because we've been at the top of our game all season and others haven't. Barry the Badger Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 Ok, fine, take the bit about playing well out. We've had a relatively easy start, picked up some brilliant results, some of the top teams are struggling, and we are still only 5th.
Right sider Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 City Saints Chelsea Arsenal Glad I went each way on 2500-1 to win the league

Ruffo Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 Injuries will keep us out of the top four. Current team could match with any team at the moment, but knock out 2/3 players and we will struggle.
Saint Garrett Posted 10 November, 2013 Posted 10 November, 2013 Is a huge few weeks for us. We have some very tough games coming up, if we're still top 6 come NYD, then we've done excellently well. Plus we've played a lot of the bottom teams at home. Real shame we couldn't have beaten both West Ham and Sunderland as we'd be top. Just got to keep taking one game at a time, keep working hard and we'll do ok. Top 8 looks a bottom target for us now though.
