Glasgow_Saint Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 Place your bets now...... For me its Palace Sunderland Stoke
Sour Mash Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 Sunderland Palace Hull This isn't Saints related either.
Cabrone Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 Palace - too weak all round Wham - goals? Fulham - old team on a potential downward spiral
fez Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 This isn't Saints related either. It is because our results will affect who goes down. I predict that the point we gave Sunderland will be enough to keep them up and send Cardiff down with Palace and Hull.
Fitzhugh Fella Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 we are 150/1 so I guess that means we are safe?
trousers Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 we are 150/1 so I guess that means we are safe? Are we as safe as Man Utd though?
View From The Top Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 I'd bet on Palace/Hull/Cardiff going down so the bookies are doing well out of me this season!
Glasgow_Saint Posted 31 October, 2013 Author Posted 31 October, 2013 I'd bet on Palace/Hull/Cardiff going down so the bookies are doing well out of me this season! Cardiff might go down, think Hull will be ok
Bucks Saint Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 Not Norwich. Martin O'Neill will be rescuing them. Palace. Sunderland. W Ham (hopefully) but Cardiff (more likely)
SNSUN Posted 31 October, 2013 Posted 31 October, 2013 Palace will be bottom, Sunderland will improve but not significantly to avoid relegation, and the 3rd team (which is most difficult to choose) will be Newcastle, who will implode when their better players are pilfered from them in January. Honorary mention also to Norwich, who despite a good transfer window are a team 'rotting' under the guidance of Chris Hughton. Nice bloke, just not good enough to get the best out of those players. (IMO). This is not said to annoy my wife, who actually agrees with me about Hughton.

SaintBobby Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 18. West Ham (even though that's as likely as Man United to be relegated...or was that last year?) 19. Cardiff 20. Crystal Palace Hull will survive IMHO, they won;t be top ten, but I think they'll make it. Surprised that folk think Norwich might drop - I disagree. But maybe they were overrated at the start of the season.
hans gruber Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 Place your bets now...... For me its Palace Sunderland Stoke someone is counting on the "Mark hughes managerial midas touch" i think stoke are a solid enough side at home especially and will just survive the third team i think will be Hull pity, i like it when the unfashionable teams stay up.
Saint Garrett Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 West Ham Fulham Palace. Sunderland to stay up on the last day to cause agony for West Ham who haven't been in the relegation zone all season!
Saint Garrett Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 West Ham Fulham Palace. Sunderland to stay up on the last day to cause agony for West Ham who haven't been in the relegation zone all season!
Stevie61163 Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 West Ham Fulham Palace. Sunderland to stay up on the last day to cause agony for West Ham who haven't been in the relegation zone all season! that would be a disaster as that will wipe out 50% of our local away games.
Wurzel Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 that would be a disaster as that will wipe out 50% of our local away games. Not if Brighton Bournemouth and Reading all come up. (That is NOT a prediction btw)
Window Cleaner Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 Not if Brighton Bournemouth and Reading all come up. (That is NOT a prediction btw) none of them will. QPR,Leicester,Burnley...nailed on.
Pedro Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 none of them will. QPR,Leicester,Burnley...nailed on. QPR, Leicester and Reading, three ex Saints bosses.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 Don't see Norwich or Stoke going down personally. Palace are certs. I'm actually surprised that team was good enough for promotion, though granted they are without their two best players from last term. Would be seriously worried if I was a Fulham fan. Ageing squad, majorly lacking in guile or creativity in the middle of the park, defence is all over the place. Bent will get goals, but he needs them put on a plate for him. Barbatov, class as he is, just isn't one for a fight I don't think. Think Sunderland will be the other team I'd go for. Too many new players over the summer, the damage Di Canio did in such a short space of time will be felt for a while yet I think. Maybe Gus can turn it around, but it will take some doing, can he keep up
Under Weststand Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 I think Palace are the only nailed on relegation candidates so far. Sunderland probably going to go with them, the last place could be either Fulham or Norwich. I'll just pick Norwich for the sake of the thread. 18-Norwich 19-Sunderland 20-Palace
SuperMikey Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 18th - Stoke 19th - Sunderland 20th - Palace Feels weird to agree with Glasgow Saint on something... Stoke are a decent team but they're lacking an out-and-out goalscorer. Watch them spend heavily in January on a flop!
melmacian_saint Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 If Norwich don't get rid of ****pants Hughton they will go down. Awful manager. Those stories about his team at Newcastle being promoted by Pardew are false. Just look at how he failed to promote an untouched PL-squad at Birmingham.
Jonnyboy Posted 1 November, 2013 Posted 1 November, 2013 Normally these threads are highly important but now we are actually good it doesn't really matter. Feels weird not really wanting 3 other teams to get cut adrift at the bottom of the prem just so we would have more chance of being safe. Palace, Fulham, Newcastle.
