lordswoodsaints Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 when i spoke to him a few weeks back he said that he was about 4 weeks away from playing again. will he make a difference going forward as we seem to have trouble in that department. personally i cant wait for him to return as we have far too many balls going backwards and sidewards when we should be hurting teams with forward, defence splitting runs. anybody got any updates on his progress?
Andy_Porter Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 He wants to make his return for the Forest game apparently. Can't wait for his return, doesn't **** about on the ball and just gets to the byeline and puts balls into the box.

dannysfc Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 I saw Lee Holmes also last week and he said that he was targeting the Man United game as his comeback but if people are saying that he might feature against Forest then even better so we will just have to wait and see!
rooney Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 It will be good to see him running at defences again.
stanthemanfairoak Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 It will be good to see him running at defences again.will he be the same fella as before his injury?
Junior Mullet Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 With respect, it wasnt exactly a life-changing injury. I would expect him to take a few games to get fully fit and sharp like any player out with an injury. We really have missed him. He was our driving force early on in the season. He adds the passion, directness and quality we need to unlock defences. A fit Holmes for the rest of the season could, IMO, be the difference between staying up and relegation.

georgeismyname Posted 10 December, 2008 Posted 10 December, 2008 Spoke to him at the Wednesday game and he said it should be a couple of weeks (from then) and I said "In time for the United game then?" and he said definitely HTH
Saint Matty 76 Posted 11 December, 2008 Posted 11 December, 2008 My favourite Saints player, was gutted when he got injured, would be better with Saga/Rasiak/John to be in the box to actually put it in though.
rpb Posted 11 December, 2008 Posted 11 December, 2008 We really have missed this player. Indeed we have - but if he plays a few sub standard games on his return people will be on here calling him a 'waste of space' and worse...
70's Mike Posted 11 December, 2008 Posted 11 December, 2008 i think we have missed him, but please, lets not build him up for a fall. he was never that good , it is just the rest are awful

Much too early to tell if he is the real deal or not. It's like Alex Pearce being seen as a world beater after 2.5 games.
