ART Posted 27 October, 2013 Share Posted 27 October, 2013 To the attention of the Liebherr family, Nicola Cortese, the Board of Southampton Football Club With the Annual All Saints Day approaching, I am calling upon the club to rename the Northam Stand, the ALL SAINTS MEMORIAL STAND ( In honor of each and every Saints Hero) It provides a solution for honoring all past heroes, not just an individual player, which runs the risk of disappointing or upsetting certain sections of the support base. Plaques to each of those chosen could be posted on the exterior of the stand. It wouldn't be right to just name it after one player, and, maybe the reason, to date, why it hasn't been done. Marcus Liebherr and Ted Bates most certainly deserve the honor of the other stands in their name. There is a need to honor each and every departed Saints hero. I believe this to be a fair and welcome solution.

VectisSaint Posted 27 October, 2013 Share Posted 27 October, 2013 Great idea, the only stand that contains away supporters and you propose to call it ALL SAINTS Memorial. Move the away supporters and it might make sense.

Norm Posted 27 October, 2013 Share Posted 27 October, 2013 Hmm, nice idea Art. I could get to like this. Problem for me is the yuf at the rear of the stand banging the hell out of the wall at the back. Not sure they give two fooks what a stand is called! Now us 'old timers', well thats different. Awaits name calling and abuse from the yufs.
Alain Perrin Posted 27 October, 2013 Share Posted 27 October, 2013 They went downhill after the Never Ever album, certainly not deserving of a memorial. Stand IMHO. Sent from my RM-821_eu_euro1_276 using Board Express
