Wiggles31 Posted 26 October, 2013 Share Posted 26 October, 2013 He's had a lot of stick from fans last season and over the summer, from myself as well but this season he has been absolutely sensational. Best attacking player this season for us so far. A joy to watch and defintely has earnt his captaincy based on his performances. An incredibly loyal player and as much a legend as Lambert is. DuncanRG Posted 26 October, 2013 Share Posted 26 October, 2013 He's been a joy to watch. I never thought of him as one of our best players after we left League One but he certainly is now. Full fitness is doing him a world of good.
The Cat Posted 26 October, 2013 Share Posted 26 October, 2013 He was almost unplayable at times today. Couldn't believe the amount of times Fulham players got away with fouling him. I'm glad the daft posts stating he shouldn't be our captain appear to have stopped. Funny that.
pangy Posted 26 October, 2013 Share Posted 26 October, 2013 I thought he dictated the tempo of the game in the first half, when he tired in the 2nd we didn't look as dangerous, but still a outstanding performance
aintforever Posted 26 October, 2013 Share Posted 26 October, 2013 Has to get a chance for England, very few English midfielders with his skill at the moment.
Tony F Posted 26 October, 2013 Share Posted 26 October, 2013 The lad has certainly come of age this season - firstly as a player but, increasingly, as captain.
Crab Lungs Posted 26 October, 2013 Share Posted 26 October, 2013 Should have sold him to Wolves for £500,000 when we had the chance.
View From The Top Posted 26 October, 2013 Share Posted 26 October, 2013 His fitness levels are now combined with his undoubted skills. He looks a complete player now, which last season he didn't. Deserves a chance with England.

BadgerBadger Posted 26 October, 2013 Share Posted 26 October, 2013 Lallana has been resurrected and is starting to show his full potential, a joy to watch today - the club have a great track record for that and hopefully Gaston and Osvaldo will also benefit from this approach

Stanley Saint Posted 26 October, 2013 Share Posted 26 October, 2013 I've always loved watching him play. I think the closing-down-at-pace that Poch has taught him means that he's that much more involved the whole time now. The Crystal Palace match was the first one I managed to watch live this season and I couldn't believe how much ground he was covering. No wonder he got subbed off at 70mins for the first few matches - must have been knackered.

ericofarabia Posted 27 October, 2013 Share Posted 27 October, 2013 The amont of times he beats his man or retains posession by using non standard inside of the ankle tap changes of direction or under the sole roll backs is quite stunning. * * I have made up the naes of these techniques, but I sure somebody who is #tekker savvy will help me out!! One of my UAE National workmates who follows all the European leagues cannnot believe he isn't in the England squad!!
