When did I do that? Be tough to compare anyone with lamberts 4 years. Been a Roy of rovers story. I just think he needs to earn his place and haven't seen that he deserves to be in on the evidence so far. Hope he does come good though.

Roge - do boo boys give you a hard on or something. I know Lallana is no longer keeping you pleasured.

Rog, did Osvaldo **** your mum or something? On and on. He didn't even play today ffs. He ain't been that great, agreed, but please give it a rest and stick to praising the players that DID play in a superb win (J rod, JWP, Clyne, Lovren, Lallana, Morgan, Vivtor) whoever really.
Massive over reaction to someone just giving their opinion on a football forum, well out of order.

Roge - does finding a new boo boy make your life complete or something. I know Lallana is no longer keeping you pleasured.

Jesus. He's not a boo boy I just think he's not worth his place ATM. Lallana has massively improved tbf. Never personal he's a great player for saints.

Bless. Go and get your pot of vaseline and team photo and get that aggression out of you.

Seriously, what's up with this forum tonight. I hope osvaldo comes good, all I've said is that I think he shouldn't necessarily be in team on merit at mo. People need to calm down we are all big saints fans end of the day.

With reference to the bickering that seems to have broken out above this, and this applies perfectly here:

Sat in the Chapel this evening during the second half a voice could be heard 4-5 rows behind -

"Will you stop bloody moaning, we are 2-0 up!!!!!".

To the game:

I thoroughly enjoyed that, the communication and understanding between the players at times was unbelievable.

Rather bizarrely the conversation over a few ales pre match was about the times when walking over the Northam Bridge after yet another winters afternoon dire performance when we were on the slide, first half we did ask each other if were really watching the mighty Saints or had we taken a wrong turn.

Excellent stuff........... And has been said already please can the Poll include the vote option of: ALL OF THEM

Our back 7 are incredible, whilst a lot of the plaudits will go to our attacking players for today and rightly so, the defensive midfielders and centre halves didn't give Fulham a sniff, winning the ball back quickly and aggressively every time we gave it away. Clyne and Shaw forward well as well as doing their jobs defensively and although Boruc won't have a quieter afternoon he's been outstanding and you can see the confidence the defence have in him. As a unit we are looking very powerful and difficult to beat. If we can keep our key players for then we could be in for one hell of a season, really fancy us for a decent cup run if we take them seriously.

That has to be one of the most complete & comprehensive victories your ever likely to see.

just wish we could have converted a couple more to put the cherry on top. How good would that scissors kick from Rodriguez have been. Can't quite believe this is Saints we are watching at present, seems almost surreal. However long may it continue!

Could pick any one of Lallana, Rodriguez or Wanyama for MOM. So Wanyama for me, I just thought big Vic he was immense today hardly put a foot wrong his decision making was almost perfect.

Agree with all of that. Seriously, keep going like that and add a couple in Jan and top 4 isn't impossible.

I hope osvaldo will come good however last week was like playing with ten men with him upfront. Lambert been playing a different role with osvaldo in team and today lambert played in his best position and was back to his best. I think osvaldo should have to earn his place and start on bench next week.

Negative lunatic

I enjoyed the game but the bloke behind me who moans for 90 minutes most games only started complaining in the second half when he decided that Lambert and Shaw we're being lazy. Not sure what Saints need to do to placate him but I bloody loved it today!

That was one of the most complete saints performances I've seen in a long time. First half we were immense and jwp looked like an international.

Really no bad words tonight the support was fantastic, the team were better and we're 3rd!

Right I'm off to Boruc's for vodka and Charlie ;)

TBH sometimes I agree Roge is overly obsessed with Rickie, no doubt he is a wonderful servant but roge can be OTT nonetheless

That said, cant see whats wrong with what he wrote earlier ? Early in the season I thought Rickie looked poor but tonight he was very good, why should he be dropped ?

I agree he's looked poor at times this season. I've said that many times. However, has been asked to play a deeper role when playing with osvaldo. Today was back in his favoured position, in which osvaldo has been playing as main striker and he looked to be back to his best. I think lovren has been out best player this season with clyne next then wanyama, Fonte and Lallana close behind.

BBC put this on the match report:

[h=2]Fulham fail to threaten[/h]Fulham's poor attacking display at St Mary's saw them become the first side to fail to manage a shot on goal in the first half of a Premier League match this season. The Cottagers did manage two efforts after the break, however.

I thought Palace failed to put a shot on target the whole game against us? Am I right?

Incidentally what Palace wouldn't give to have their old boys Fonte and Clyne still in their side!

Only negative today: empty seats. Embarrassing to see on MOTD.

Most of them were from the tickets that Fulham returned earlier in the week - usually full of away fans. People don't want to sit directly behind the goal often as you can't see f*ck all happening after about 20yds away from you!

Great performance from us today anyway, although Fulham were f*cking dire. Never in doubt, and being 2-0 up at HT definitely showed that when we've struggled for opportunities in the first 45 minutes of games this season. Wanyama's come such a long way already with his game, he looks a different player now. Lazy comparison, but he reminds me more and more of Makelele every time I see him play!

As for the Osvaldo debate, he's a cracking player who just hasn't settled in yet. He'll come good, and frankly I think he would have done well today. His touch of class in that final third would have helped sometimes, especially with all the gaps in Fulham's defence today (oddly enough they reminded me of us this time last year at times!).
