doddisalegend Posted 23 October, 2013 Share Posted 23 October, 2013 Wasn't Pulis touting himself as ready for a return to management a few weeks ago? Maybe he could give them the Stoke treatment not pretty but might keep Palace up. Don't really have anything against Palace I wouldn't mind them staying up......... though on current form they'll be relegated by Christmas. SNSUN Posted 23 October, 2013 Share Posted 23 October, 2013 I see Tony Pulis is favourite. They could do worse.
suewhistle Posted 23 October, 2013 Share Posted 23 October, 2013 we scored 13, to their 6 at this stage. we were on -11 GD they are on -11 GD Wasn't that a bit distorted by the 6 we let in at Arsenal? Either way, even from the first game 3-2 defeat at Citeh you could see we could play some decent football and had some good players. They haven't shown any sign of that. Sour Mash Posted 23 October, 2013 Share Posted 23 October, 2013 People were saying similar things about us last season regarding relegation, us and Villa I think, neither of us went down. Sunderland may well buck up a bit but even we had more points than they have last season, can't say the same for Palace. Could be that there is only one relegation place to be decided after only 8 games, Saints could well be safe by the end of November . Not really a similar comparison - despite our points haul we were putting in good performances, Man City away, Man Utd at home, Villa at home etc. Palace just look s**t full-stop, they're going down. Kingsbridge Saint Posted 24 October, 2013 Share Posted 24 October, 2013 The media can't be happy losing both Holloway and Di Canio from the Prem. Who is the most charismatic EPL Manager left? I am struggling...

sydney_saint Posted 24 October, 2013 Share Posted 24 October, 2013 It would be curious to find out how many managers that get promoted from the Championship, particularly from the last decade or so, will find that moment of promotion the highlight, not just of the time at the club, but of their careers. In recent years, and I am only speculating, we have the likes of Owen Coyle, McDermmot, Warnock, our own Adkins, Holloway, Brown and a huge host of others, be promoted only to find themselves shortly back in the championship.I am unsure whether there is a trend here but I can only think that Rogers, Lambert and Pulis have gone onto better things.
