I don't think Mr Cortese will be rushing into that descision in a hurry. Things surrounding his going to Arsenal are looking like an example to other Academy players and in particular their parents and their saucer eyed dreams of cashing in on their nipper at the first opportunity. Especially as Mr & Mrs Chamberlain thought that they had managed to sneak young Alex up to Arsenal for a medical without Saints knowing, add to this (if true) the recent revelation that we get £10k everytime Alex plays more than 20 minutes, that is a real sting in the tail of what looks to have been a shrewd bit of business.

he has played plenty at arsenal, played for england plenty too.

I suspect we let Ramirez go out on loan in Jan to Italy with a view to selling him in the summer, it's clear he hasn't worked out here and isn't suited to either our high energy pressing game nor the premiership

 

Would love us to get Astori but realistically a decent young GK, left back and someone like a Tom Ince would be great but we do have a lot of talented youngsters, when you look at Isgrove, Rowe etc who I suspect wouldn't look out of place in the first team if they got a game , same as Chambers

Lewandowski has signed a pre contract with Bayern who have offered 15m for him to move in Jan I believe.

We talk about needig a good number 10 and I would prefer to bring in someone that has played well in the EPL. Having watched him tonight I would love for us to bring in Morrison. He's young and English, improving and just the player that would link brilliantly with our forward players and style.

 

Hammers fans also seem to think he will be sold in January because his contract is up in the summer and with west ham not likely to be able to renew it (not sure why) they believe Sullivan and gold will want to get some money from a sale rather than nothi in the summer.

Think we will need to be looking at a striker in the summer. At the risk of getting shot down in flames, I would have Andy Carroll. He is wasted at WHAM as they play hoofball. His hold up play is actually good and he might actually develop into a really good player with us.

He looks like an incredible prospect. I read that he has an £18m release clause in the West Ham contract. There will be many suitors in January I'm sure.

Can't see him coming here though somehow.
