The brother of a British man killed with his wife and mother-in-law while on holiday in the Alps has denied arranging their murder.

 

Zaid al-Hilli, from Surrey, has accused French police of "covering up" the real target of the killings in 2012 and also offered to take a lie-detector test.

That's what the brother said in an interview in the Sunday Times yesterday. The brother also claimed that their dispute over property wasn't to do with 'who got what' but that his brother was trying to sell everything they jointly owned - presumably to raise as much cash as possible. He also said his brother had been beaten up whilst trying to evict squatters from their house in Iraq. Could be Saad had made enemies / debts somewhere.
