Olallana Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 Playing a team with an interim manager saturday?
jasonb Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 They do however have their shooting boots on tonight. Currently 1-2 with two absolute belters.. Straight out of the top drawer. Extra weetabix for Boruc this week.
beavis17 Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 They do however have their shooting boots on tonight. Currently 1-2 with two absolute belters.. Straight out of the top drawer. Extra weetabix for Boruc this week. It's alright I think they've used all of those up tonight.
Chewy Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 Game plan - don't allow them to shoot from 20 yards and we will pulverise them. Goal of the season already between tonight and jack wilshere. Other than that they've not been in it but what a couple of goals
Batman Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 be interested in their actual play rather than 2 wonder goals hangeland gone off injured again.
Olallana Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 Isn´t Kasami way too young to play for Fulham btw?
Batman Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 puncheon has not lived up to the SWF hype tonight bent misses a sitter
Batman Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 3-1 now fulham wont be easy (not that any game in this league is)
jasonb Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 Decent from Berbatov there... Classy header. Let's hope they use up their goal allowance tonight.
Ulrich van Gobbel Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 3-1 now fulham wont be easy (not that any game in this league is) Agreed.. I actually said earlier in this thread that Palace would beat them tonight. It it wasn't for those stunning strikes maybe they would have. If it stays like this though it certainly makes Saturday a bit more interesting.
sandwichsaint Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 like a championship game (but with two worldies thrown in, first fulham goal sensational)
suewhistle Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 be interested in their actual play rather than 2 wonder goals hangeland gone off injured again. According to The Guardian text commentary Hangeland, who sustained a horrific pride injury early in the first half... :-)
S-Clarke Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 Palace look utter trash. They're long gone, already.
Batman Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 the amazing puncheon subbed. guess he was not our answer after all
Olallana Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 First hawkeye decision or did the ref actually see it himself?
jasonb Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 Yep palace at sea now.. Could be a hiding this now.
Patrick Bateman Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 Palace look horrible, really bad. It's not the best football from either team, despite two very nice goals from Fulham.
Batman Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 First hawkeye decision or did the ref actually see it himself? think the officials saw that.
Ziggy Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 Palace look horrible, really bad. It's not the best football from either team, despite two very nice goals from Fulham. Palace were terrible at our place son not surprised they're getting hammered.
Batman Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 having seen fulham play. they play 4411. reckon we will go back with lambert in the team for rodriguez
VectisSaint Posted 21 October, 2013 Posted 21 October, 2013 First hawkeye decision or did the ref actually see it himself? Hawkeye was first used at Stamford Bridge, Chelski v Hull on August 18th (Ivanovic header off the line)
eelpie Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 This is a game that Ramires should be at least on the bench. When he came on following an obdurate backs-to-the wall West ham, earlier in the season and we were heading for defeat, his creativity unlocked their defence and we equalised. Another draw 1-1 unless our strikers hit form.
KelvinsRightGlove Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 Probably going to be away with the gf, so will be unable to watch. So far this season that means a Saints win, hope that continues. Plus my Fulham mate was rather smug all summer, thinking they were going to be above us - and was convinced they were getting Ossie for £8m. Hope he bangs in a hat-trick.
stevegrant Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 Fulham have returned 1000 tickets so block 43 is now open for home fans.
SuperMikey Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 Fulham have returned 1000 tickets so block 43 is now open for home fans. F*cking dreadful. Don't think we've ever not sold out an away allocation in London since we returned to the Prem. 3/4s of their fans were sat down for the full 90 minutes last season as well!
JRM Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 F*cking dreadful. Don't think we've ever not sold out an away allocation in London since we returned to the Prem. 3/4s of their fans were sat down for the full 90 minutes last season as well! Fulham have never travelled in big numbers, and it should be no surprise if they only bring about 1000 to us depsite they fact they are offering free kids tickets and 4 coaches are free as well. not sure if anyone has looked at the number of tickets left, but as this is a 5.30 game live on SKY it should really be a C game for pricing as opposed to a B. I predict attendance will be about 29,200 . hard to know how this game will go, Fulham can be decent on there day, i'll go for a 2-1 win

Don't think we've ever not sold out an away allocation in London since we returned to the Prem. 3/4s of their fans were sat down for the full 90 minutes last season as well! why is it dreadful. This is actually decent for Fulham
SuperMikey Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 why is it dreadful. This is actually decent for Fulham Premier League team, less than 100 miles away, lots of incentives for fans to travel, team won 4-1 in their last game...would've thought they'd take more than a couple of thousand. Even Reading sold out their allocation at SMS twice in 2 seasons!

Even Reading sold out their allocation at SMS twice in 2 seasons! because fulham have little support. I am amazed that is appears to be a surprise to you. much like we have little support compared to man united. fulham have a neutral section in their ground. this should tell anyone that they will struggle to sell out their away allocation for a game outside of london which is on telly
SuperMikey Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 because fulham have little support. I am amazed that is appears to be a surprise to you. much like we have little support compared to man united. fulham have a neutral section in their ground. this should tell anyone that they will struggle to sell out their away allocation for a game outside of london which is on telly There is that, i'm just amazed that any team in the top tier would take a small amount to a relatively close away game - maybe i've been spoiled by travelling with our lot these past few years..
Saint Garrett Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 It is pathetic but it doesn't come as a shock!
Graffito Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 There is that, i'm just amazed that any team in the top tier would take a small amount to a relatively close away game - maybe i've been spoiled by travelling with our lot these past few years.. Agree, especially as many of them live south of the river and into Surrey. QPR, Palace of comparable size etc wouldn't have returned 1000 tickets.
Charlie Wayman Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 Although Fulham ran out easy winners against Palace last night they did not play particularly well or with much assurance. They tried to play a passing game of sorts but it was slow, not instinctive and often wayward. The speed and accuracy of our game should have them on the back-foot from the get-go. I honestly cannot see them scoring, on the other hand we're not much better in the 18 yard box and will struggle to improve on the odd goal bundled in in a goalmouth scramble so for me 1-0 to Saints, maybe 2-0 if they are generous enough to give us an own goal.
goneawol Posted 22 October, 2013 Posted 22 October, 2013 Maybe Fulham's fans have been banned from travelling after their disgraceful behaviour at Palace... Q: You came in for quite a bit of stick at the end from some sections of the fans as you walked off? "......... I didn't like what they singing. Very disrespectful - can we play you every week? http://www.slp.co.uk/sport.cfm?id=36269&headline=Ian%20Holloway%20-%20the%20post-Fulham%20press%20conference%20as%20it%20happened
trousers Posted 24 October, 2013 Posted 24 October, 2013 @SouthamptonFC: Mauricio Pochettino's pre-#FFC press conference will be broadcast live on #SaintsFC's official YouTube channel from around 3pm BST.
Saint Garrett Posted 24 October, 2013 Posted 24 October, 2013 Bloody quiet on here when we're doing well isnt it !
Batman Posted 24 October, 2013 Posted 24 October, 2013 we better win Saints win is part of my weekends accy
Glasgow_Saint Posted 24 October, 2013 Posted 24 October, 2013 we better win Saints win is part of my weekends accy Oh no Your accy's are awful. Have you won once this season?
Sour Mash Posted 24 October, 2013 Posted 24 October, 2013 Will Lambert return to the starting 11? Will Ramirez get a place on the bench? Think they're the only two things open to debate. I personally think both things should happen. Fulham are an odd team - got some players of real genuine quality, but overall as a team they look old, slow, tired. Definitely a game we should be looking to win and one which I'd like to think we could score a few in.
Saint Charlie Posted 24 October, 2013 Posted 24 October, 2013 Lambert often reacts well to being left out too. Would assume he comes in for JR but then we lack any attacking pace.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 24 October, 2013 Posted 24 October, 2013 I do love the lazy "Fulham are an old side" post Team that played CP - 01 Stekelenburg = 31 27 Riether = 30 15 Richardson = 29 07 Sidwell = 30 04 Senderos = 28 05 Hangeland = 32 10 Ruiz = 28 28 Parker = 33 39 Bent = 29 09 Berbatov = 32 08 Kasami = 21 Average age 29.36
Saint Garrett Posted 24 October, 2013 Posted 24 October, 2013 Yeah, thats old....we should play at a very high intensity - they won't be able to deal with us.
Glasgow_Saint Posted 24 October, 2013 Posted 24 October, 2013 For comparison - 31 Boruc = 33 02 Clyne = 22 23 Shaw = 18 12 Wanyama = 22 06 Fonte = 29 05 Lovren = 24 20 Lallana = 25 04 Schneiderlin = 23 17 Osvaldo = 27 08 Davis = 28 09 Rodriguez = 24 Average age 25.0
Batman Posted 24 October, 2013 Posted 24 October, 2013 Oh no Your accy's are awful. Have you won once this season? NO.
