That goal celebration yesterday

The promotion season from the Championship produced some absolute belters in terms mental celebrations

Reading away - Wow I went mental at this one for some reason, stand exploded when that went in.

Millwall away - Mayhem in the away end, hugging strangers, watching blokes in Sumo suits bounding down the steps. Quality.

Skates at home - Went mental when I thought we'd won it, will never forgive David Norris for taking that moment away from me. Never gone from such a high to such a low in such a short space of time. Int he end we went up and they went down though, so no worries.

Barry Horne against Bolton in the cup at the Dell.... 88/89 I think. Epic!

Was that in injury time and a screamer from 30 yards??? I think I was halfway out of the doors at the back of the Milton when that one flew in... the stewards tried to keep us moving in the exit direction but I got back onto the terrace and celebrated like a loon!

I offer for consideration the last-minute equaliser "Niemi" goal against Fulham at Loftus Road in the spring of 2003. It was down at the other end from us Saints fans and although Killer scored (from the rebound off the bar), from our distance it looked like our Favourite Finn had done the business with a fantastic volley. But whoever scored, the stand we were in went beserk.

Yes that will be the one, I would have been the very young lad heading the other way when they opened the gates for the last few minutes, as I did not get in earlier. Was a pretty well struck shot!

Was 91/92 cup run season, we'd beaten united on pens at OT in the round before. Loved that Barry Horne goal, the goals from that game are on YouTube now. I think Bolton had just scored in the 89th minute and thought they'd won it, before Horne picked the ball up 40 yards out a couple of minutes into injury time....main reason I also love it the fans who got onto the pitch dancing around wildly under the east stand. Epic

Haven't been to as many games as most on here, but one that springs to mind was at home to Blackburn 98/99 season. We were 3-1 down and staged a comeback, Pahars comes on and makes it 3-3 on 85 mins. The Dell went looney. I think we almost won it with a Le Tiss stunner. Blackburn went down at the end of the season.

Saturday was special, went mental when we scored cos we deserved something and played so well. Away games Le Tiss FK against West Ham in the 3-3 draw. Delhurst either goal, Moran against the Skates and of course Bobby Stokes! Then there was Channon against the Skates in '76, last minute from memory nearly got the crap beaten out of me walking to the car. Danny Wallace overhead kick against Liverpool, special goal.... so many! But Saturday was up there!

Lee Barnard vs MK Dons in League 1..

2-0 down at HT.. Jonno Quick quickfire double and Barnard with the winner!

Yep, that was a belter. Possibly the key win for us that season, euphoria doesn't begin to describe the fans reaction.

I thought Schneiderlins goal to make it 1-2 up at Wigan last year was pretty epic. We had sucked that ball into the net all that second half. Shame we couldn't hold on on that occasion. Our soft under belly came back to bite us.

Funny that some people thought the atmos at that particular game was gash. I remember the debate on here.

It was at a time when the FAC actually meant something and you made an effort to be there.

I just think times have changed, football is more family and clap your hands when you score, unless it is late and big. Terraces help, but football used to be nuts.

I was on nights and popped out to watch that match (Bolton) went mental in the Milton, managed to lose my car keys in the celebrations which I did not realise till I got to my car in Millbrook Road ! They were at portswood police station after being picked up by a copper on crowd duty!

I had to walk up to the civic police station to be told try Portswood as the policed the match! never got to finish my night shift! happy times.

West Ham away possibly 10 years ago. Terrible game 0-0 until Ormerod crossed for Beattie in injury time. Remember being elbowed, then at the bottom of a pile of people

Was in an almost deserted pub in Aylesbury for that one. Barman was wearing a hammers shirt. Had money on Beattie and 1-0 too. Can honestly say I have not celebrated so much in a pub before or since. Think i tried to climb over the bar to get in the face of the guy...

Neil Shipperley at Old Trafford - FA Cup 6th round 1996. We had about 6,000 there and Shipps headed in the first goal, right in front of us, at the far post. Mad scenes, ended up on the floor about 4 rows down. Was still working out which way was up, to find play had long restarted as it had been disallowed. Shocking decision.
