For people moaning about MOTD not showing our chances - were they better chances than Utd hitting the bar twice, Januazi forcing a great save from Boruc? Doubt it...

No, but they were better than two completely irrelevant chances where United were offside. Two actual saints chances instead of those would have made it look more even.

The editing and commentary on MOTD were up to their usual standard - ie awful. If you watched the actual match, especially the second half, you would have seen Saints were the better side - but that is not what you saw on the ridiculous 'highlights' on MOTD and the commentator said Saints had 'stolen a point' when in fact it was United who were lucky to get a point! The comments especially by Shearer were much fairer but did not reflect what we had just seen.

MP is no mug , made all of the correct decisions again today. No matter their position Man Utd are an excellent side with top class players. We had to keep the crowd quiet , muscle them out of the game , a lot of average teams lose confidence when they go a goal down and Utd then start to really dominate teams and in the past go on to score a hat full.

I think MP got it spot on with tactics , his interview on the BBC when he was inadvertently questioned about Utd poor start - he just deflected that with real professionalism .

Top manager

Absolutely brilliant performance. This did feel like a win! Lallana - awsome, carries this on, England call up cannot be far away. Also Lovren, Big Vic, Clyne, Shaw and Morgan outstanding. Well done Poch, got the tactics spot on - top, top manager

One other thought about people knocking Danni - Give this guy a break FFS , he's here, he is still getting used to the EPL and if some think he's not that interested - just look at the pic on the BBC -

Are we all going to moan about MOTD on the last day of the season when we get a 'lucky' one nil win against United, scoring our 'only' chance despite 20 shots on goal,to pip them for fourth place?

Brilliant performance, and unlike last season we got the point we deserved this time.

I watched it in Kelly's where I saw someone wearing a Saints shirt with "Cortese 1" printed on the back.

Really.

Awesome Saints team performance. My motm has to be Boruc -if only because MOTD only showed Manure's moves and Arturs' saves. Allan Shearers analysis did the team proud and partially made up for a very biased BBC coverage of the game.

Davis had a great game yesterday, not even listed above for motm?

Think it's because Clyne played so well he was put in the list twice :)

I laughed at that too! :o

Davis was excellent again yesterday.

Still buzzing the next morning! The result was good, but I'm more excited about Saints quality and MP's tactical awareness. I was a little worried though when we had neither Lambert or JWP on the field. I'd hate to waste a really good free kick opportunity.

I still can't believe that result, nearly cried when the goal went in as did mates dad who came over for the game.

Amazing day to have my first trip to old trafford just because United looked so lost trying to actually play football

According to Saints Player, Saints goals now count double!!! Premier League title is on the cards!!!

Jesus, just imagine that actually did happen - As lallana did cut inside and have a shot just after too.

Would have been an absolute meltdown!!!!

In the post-match interview MP grinned and said they should be credited 50/50, but I suspect they'd both get a goal bonus!

A bonus.....Or another bloody free watch!

Imagine if he'd laid it to the right and Guly had scored. There would still be fans celebrating in Old Trafford now.

Yep - was even thinking how I get from the last row of the East Stand down to the pitch.

Deserved point. Ignore the MOTD ********.

Standout players for me were Schneiderlin and Lallana. Lovren was immense again, one of the best players I've seen in a Saints shirt.

S.Davis was superb as well, he shines in games like this, bit of an unsung hero.

Man u - an avergage side but with class strikers. Won the league with it last season but getting found out this season. Talking to Man U supporters in the bar after the game, they said we were unlucky not to win and slagged off most of their team. They bought me a drink not the other way round.

Good grief. I also watched it in Kelly's. We had the table in front of the (blurriest) screen directly opposite the bar.
