benjii Posted 17 October, 2013 Share Posted 17 October, 2013 Ahoy hoy, Which pubs, reasonably close to Soton centre, have the best Saints streams for non-Sky/BT Prem matches. I would like to watch our match on Saturday in such a pub. I think we might lose to a late winner but we shall see! Thanks Super Saints fans. Good streams and plenty of sport...

Royal Oak is better but a lot busier.
The Cat Posted 17 October, 2013 Share Posted 17 October, 2013 Kelly's has the best set up apparently. I've only seen the Liverpool game in town. Royal Oak was pretty busy and their stream kept dropping out. Went to the Angel which was unsurprisingly empty and had an ok-ish stream, but nothing better than the sort you'd get at home. I'm probably going to try Kelly's on Saturday.
Jack Posted 17 October, 2013 Share Posted 17 October, 2013 The Alex, Infernos, Dorchester, Royal Oak, Kellys. Don't waste your time with The Alex. T'internet is crap there and they were playing ****e music over the top of the commentary for the Liverpool game. We gave up at ht as it was unwatchable. saintstriumph Posted 17 October, 2013 Share Posted 17 October, 2013 The ANGEL was ok plenty of screens and plenty of room. Games i've seen there have been fine but dropped out for the interviews after the game. Commentry was fine throughout the game.

Not lived in london for a few years but Canecao used to be a really good option. Its a Brazillian bar that shows all the 3pm games, has foreign sattelite feeds so better than online streaming. Also good food and some hot brazillian fellow drinkers.
Saint Mikey Posted 18 October, 2013 Share Posted 18 October, 2013 The Alex, Infernos, Dorchester, Royal Oak, Kellys. I've heard it's amazing there. 50p a pint and Nigella Lawson serves burgers topless...

Unless they've got a monster-sized satellite dish, they may may find Al Jazeera Sport being rather erratic if they are relying on an online connection. It was hopeless for the Palace game, but fine for the Swansea game. I have kept my subscription to Al Jazeera Sport, but am expecting the stream to not be clever tomorrow, as it's on channel HD6 on Al Jazeera Sport tomorrow, and that particular channel does seem to be hit and miss. Scummer Posted 18 October, 2013 Share Posted 18 October, 2013 The Bridge in Woolston (not quite centre) has the satellite set up I go in there before games and noticed they'd changed system recently. The picture quality is much worse than Sky, it was like watching a video game. Blurry, and the speed just looked 'wrong'.

I'll be at the Alexandra in Clapham Common. Great sports bar and always busy with a good atmosphere.
