Wilfried Zaha seeks loan move, at least five PL clubs interested

Would I take him? No. We should be nurturing our own youngsters, not borrowing Uniteds, making them better and sending them back. Buy - Hell yes. Loan? Hell no.

He is a flair player, will kop too much flak from this board within two games for not setting up 10 goals in that time etc etc.

I wouldn't want him here just because I don't think he would improve the squad.

If United are looking to loan him out in Jan for rest of the season and they are willing to pay 50%+ of his wages, then I'd be inclined to show some serious interest.

Would rather have puncheon back

Are you serious.

I cannot believe those on here who say that he's not good enough. He would be exactly what we we need and these sort of players are the difference between top 8 and bottom 8.

He has got a lot to offer, similar to AL in a lot of ways, but better.

If he's not good enough for United, he's not good enough for any of the teams above them.

Are you saying that being above man u. That fox would be good enough for their bench?

This, it took 53posts for someone to state the obvious, thought we had a good accadamy!

What do you think ? If he cant get a game for a mid table team why would he get one for a top 4 club !?

Would be excellent addition. And probably knows Fonte and Clyne. Might give us something 'a bit different', as the wearisome cliche goes.

All well and good, but is there a youngster in the ressies that is anywhere near being able to play in that wide attacking position for the first team ?

I have seen him twice live and a few times on TV but as yet, does not do the business for me. Man U obviously feel the same. We need to leave well alone.

I take that as 'tongue in cheek', though I cant believe some people on here actually stating we are a better club than Utd already, lol.

Our academy is not going to produce every single player for every position.

It makes me laugh that some people on here think we've cracked it already and we dont need any help, I would suspect some would not swap SRL for RVP!

You missed the game whereby he took Palace to the EPL then?

Ward-Prowse, Isgrove, Rowe? Our aim is to have half the team made up of academy players - unless we bring our own youngsters through and give them a chance in the first team, this aim won't be realised. Bringing in Zaha on loan blocks the path for one of these lads to try to make a first team spot their own. Ward-Prowse may not be the same type of player admittedly, but he's shown that bringing academy players through is viable if they're good enough. I'd rather give Ward-Prowse a regular spot in the first team than bringing in Zaha on loan. While I do think we lack creativity as a team, the youngsters could be the answer to that problem. Hopefully we keep trying them out in cup matches to see how their progress as footballers is coming along.

THINK ABOUT IT! Unless there was real interest in a player and a real chance of signing him on a permanent basis why would Saints bother to disrupt a long-term team building programme with a short-term loanee fix? It doesn't make sense and it won't happen.

You mean the one when he was playing against CCC oposition ??

Big difference from quality in Prem Teams IMHO

Yeah, cause Lambert never got any acclaim for scoring in the CCC?

Maybe Rowe (or whoever) is thought to be the long term solution but not ready yet? Do. you not think a short term loan, a good idea in those circumstances?
