Legod Third Coming Posted 10 October, 2013 Share Posted 10 October, 2013 At the grand old age of 43 I have re-taken up football... So I've bought some Adidas Boots - Black and fecking white, before you ask. Kaiser Funf - very fetching. They look like REAL football boots, not my girlfriend's slippers or my daughter's crocs... And a pair of Saints AWAY shorts - £25! (Expensive but I've paid for a hair on Lallana's head for a week I guess...) Anyway, what the feck are these shorts made of??!!! Climacool?? Near see-thru, feel like satin, look like silk??!! Any experience of whether they will revive my career? Does the climacool keep the tackle clean? Will they actually wash after a decent sliding two-footed knee high challenge?

If I remember rightly from an Adidas Climacool publicity event that I attended somewhere or other Climacool is a hollow fibre polyester derivative. Most modern sports fabrics are. Lightweight and draw moisture off the skin. Washes very well. Edited 10 October, 2013 by Window Cleaner
Pugwash Posted 10 October, 2013 Share Posted 10 October, 2013 I'm rather surprised you want to discuss how to wash your tackle on a public forum. You might like to buy a ball bag to help protect.
Bearsy Posted 10 October, 2013 Share Posted 10 October, 2013 The9 was saying that at kit launch shorts was pictured with built in knob-sack, but when season started players wore shorts without built in knob-sack. Or maybe it was other way round, I don't remember. Do you have knob-sack?

Hatch Posted 11 October, 2013 Share Posted 11 October, 2013 The9 will be able to tell you exactly what they are made of, and probably the name of the 6 year old the stitched them, and the van driver who delivered them.
There when Franny scored Posted 11 October, 2013 Share Posted 11 October, 2013 They are also the first pair of football shorts I have bought in about 10 years. I can confrim that they are the nicest pair of shorts, and possibly single piece of clothing, I've ever owned (although somewhat transparent) and I've even taken to sleeping in them. I also have made a speacial request to my wife to wash them only with her underwear.
