Saint_clark Posted 10 October, 2013 Share Posted 10 October, 2013 It's strange that we as a fan base are staying so grounded and just enjoying it as it happens, whilst everyone else in football is saying we're going to do big things. Usually it's the other way around.

Usually it's the other way around. Our fan base is truly exceptional, always grounded. If we're not winning they moan about the results, if we're winning they moan about style, if were winning with style then they moan about the beer or the sausage rolls. saint si Posted 10 October, 2013 Share Posted 10 October, 2013 He thrust a 17-year-old Luke Shaw in at left-back on a permanent basis, built a relationship between Jay Rodriguez and Rickie Lambert Except Adkins brought Luke Shaw in to the team several months earlier, and the Lambert/Jay-Rod partnership has hardly been a feature this season... Window Cleaner Posted 10 October, 2013 Share Posted 10 October, 2013 Wow. I take the attitude that if he's been cast aside n favour of the hard tackling Wanyama it's because he wasn't quite good enough in some department or other that's all. If we'd have dropped Morgan and retained Cork I'd have said the same thing. Something or other in Cork's make up has led the current coaching/management team to think that there's something that could be bettered.

Olallana Posted 10 October, 2013 Share Posted 10 October, 2013 Was he the one who told you the bench mark of a teams performance and ability if not results, league position or form but shots at goal? No, but I hear he´s giving private lessons in "show respect on internet forums and stay on OP´s topic when posting in a thread".. But we all know here that it takes more than a few lessons for you to learn that.

Window Cleaner Posted 11 October, 2013 Share Posted 11 October, 2013 Just reading the French article: interesting question and paragraph on his pairing with Wanyama. Exactly, total confirmation that in the SPL Victor was getting an easy ride most weeks. Until he adapts to the intensity of the PL he's going to look flustered and make a few iffy passes.
