Spurs and Chelsea home games moved for TV

Fed up with all this changing. Think they should use some of the tv money to recompense season ticket holders who can no longer make the game.

Why should we be expected to pay in advance for games when we don't even know when they will take place? It wouldn't be hard to block a ST for one game with the new turnstiles.

I didn't renew this season either. Catch 22 - we wanted success but to get all that TV money, the EPL has to move loads of games for TV. I'm massively missing it though, have only been to Sunderland at home and Norwich away so haven't really had anything to get excited over yet!

I didn't renew and have only seen Liverpool and Swansea! Sympathies to you.

We've been relatively fortunate so far in that we've not been a particularly appealing prospect for the TV companies for whatever reason, despite being fairly entertaining to watch.

This season, including the scheduled games up to 1st January, we've only had 4 games of 20 where the date has been changed due to TV and one for the Europa League (25% of all games), and last season 5 for TV (3 televised games on Saturdays so date unchanged) and 3 for Europa League (21%).

Compare that to Spurs, who are both a popular team to be televised (12 of their 20 will be shown) and competing in the Europa League so have their following games moved even if they're not broadcast, who will have had 13 of their 20 games moved to the Sunday - come the New Year, they'll have had just FOUR Saturday matches :uhoh:

While i'm assuming you mean for both home and away games. It's interesting in comparison that we would only have had 5 home games on a Saturday by new year too.

The Chelsea and Villa games are midweek, so that's a slightly misleading statistic, to be fair. It does appear as though Sky/BT would prefer to broadcast our home games rather than aways, though.

And yes, that Spurs comparison is for all fixtures. Only ONE away game on a Saturday (at Sunderland) out of the first ten.

ffs. not going to bother renewing next season as this will be the 3rd game i've missed this season due to other plans

Couldn't agree more. The club couldn't care les. They have our money, and they have TV revenues as well. Double wammy for the club and fa for the ST holders who can't make re-arranged times.

Can you not sell your ST ticket on a game by game basis. My brother has a ticket at Brighton and doesnt go to half the games, but over the season gets half the cost of the ST back when he doesnt go.
