Isla Wight Posted 6 October, 2013 Share Posted 6 October, 2013 I saw today that the club were advertising a Fun Day at SMS on 26th October - when the team host Fulham in a 5.30pm kick off. The advertising blurb stated that there would be face painting and other activities and would cost £60 for 2 adults and 2 under elevens. I can't see anything about this on the OS - does anyone know anything else about this?
Hayling Saint Posted 7 October, 2013 Share Posted 7 October, 2013 Just got an e mail for this. 2 adults + 2 under 11's = £60.00 good value. Loads of stuff for the kids
ChudSaint Posted 7 October, 2013 Share Posted 7 October, 2013 Shame nobody at the ticket office mentioned it last Monday when I paid £39 for 1 adult and child, may have been able to persuade the wife to come with our youngest. Suspect we'll have a better time without them anyway..

ChudSaint Posted 7 October, 2013 Share Posted 7 October, 2013 I've got a CRAZY idea... Get a refund on your original tickets?!? Mental. More than happy with my original plan but thanks for the outside of the box mental thinking . Was more surprised the ticket office didn't mention it or try to sell it at the time. In all seriousness though is it possible to get a refund from the ticket office? Only come up a few times a year from Devon and it's always a military planned operation due to circumstances and idea of not attending once planned has never come up. On this occasion though my son has to have a minor op 8 days before, my wife is suggesting he may not be ready for a big day out, I've told her we'll play it by ear with every intention of us going and was going to write it off if the worst came to the worst. Is a refund an option? Suspect I'd have to give them notice to resell and a refund only applicable if I was buying alternative tickets but guess if you don't ask you don't get.. SaintBobby Posted 8 October, 2013 Share Posted 8 October, 2013 Another marketing failure by the club tbh. Don't get me wrong, the progress in the important areas has been amazing. The "offer" in the ancillary areas (easily getting tickets, loyalty points for away games, hospitality) is just woeful. Utterly woeful.

Yes, although as long as you dress up as a pirate/nigerian warlord/astronaut.

Batman Posted 8 October, 2013 Share Posted 8 October, 2013 How is this idea a failure? At worst, you just go to the game?
Manuel Posted 8 October, 2013 Share Posted 8 October, 2013 Website doesn't allow purchase at that price for me. The only thing I can gather is that my kids are not set up as customers although the wife is, but setting the kids up doesn't work on the site despite several attempts. You can only add a relative if you have the customer number which the kids don't have and the site won't give me. Trying to buy with wife and 2 under 11's costs £98.00. Will have to phone tomorrow then.
davefoggy Posted 8 October, 2013 Share Posted 8 October, 2013 Another cock up from the club. Why do they make things so complicated? Has no one at the club got any idea about marketing? Could have been a good idea but they have gone about it the wrong way

It will ask you for an email address when you fill out the details but I just used my email address for each child. Then link them to your account. No need to phone up. You need to create an account for them first.
Manuel Posted 9 October, 2013 Share Posted 9 October, 2013 (edited) Weird, the offer is only available if you purchase at the ticket office. £60 offer not available on website and not available via the phone, confirmed via booking line this morning. You'd have thought they'd want to encourage folks to use the site. Never mind. Edit, just worked out that extra price is 4 x booking fee.
