Fox - "accident waiting to happen"

Not a big fan of Fox defensively, which is kind of key in a defender. Not up to PL standard IMO.

 

However, he has a great cross, a sweet left foot and takes a mean set piece. Remember Lambo's goal @ Fratton park? This was typical Fox, Ward-Prowse cannot currently hit one that well from distance.

 

My opinion is that I would rather Chambers and Clyne play, but if Fox plays then the crowd should get behind him. If the effort is there which it always is with him, then terrible support if he is being hounded. I have seen players not giving 100% and they deserve all they get. Fox is not that....simple.

 

Except he did, in fact a much better one, for Fontes goal V Sunderland.

Each to their own, I thought Foxs was just a generic lofted into the box ball, Ward-Prowse is curled in low with pace.

You've summed up there exactly what Fox is up against. Whatever he does he cant win.

 

A "generic lofted into the box ball". What, did it just happen to land in perfectly between the back 4 and the keeper and, just happened to find the head of our best header of the ball. It's about hitting an area, and he hit it perfectly and with the right pace. If you think he's shiete, fine, but don't try and rewrite history. That was a good delivery, certainly better than anything Rameriez has delivered from set pieces since he's been here.

You've got it wrong buddy. I've defended fox just as much as anyone, and i think he has a very good delivery, but i also think ward-prowse has a much better delivery.

Also as much as i have defended him in the past his performance last sunday was atrocious, no denying it.

I see WGS was desperately short of cover at LB for their game on Tuesday against Croatia. Called up Steven Hammell of Motherwell. If he plays it will be his first cap since 2004 at the age of 31.
