Turkish Posted 3 October, 2013 Share Posted 3 October, 2013 Got to come up with something a bit different, everyone does football grounds and golf days these days. What are popular ideas, a room full of 80% blokes aged 30-50? Got to incoporate a couple of hours partner training on our products. Ideas i've had so far are Casino Night Burlesque Night Wine/Beer tasting Multi activity day - clay pigeon shooting, archery etc Been told the budget is relatively unlimited, within reason so obviously taking everyone to Vegas for a week expenses paid if off limits. buctootim Posted 3 October, 2013 Share Posted 3 October, 2013 (edited) Digger racing, theres one in yorkshire (assuming you want it near Harrogate). Failing that go kart racing in a tournament against each other - need to find a good sized track with decent karts. http://www.diggerland.com/groups/racing.htm http://www.tockwithmotorsports.net/Groups.html Edited 3 October, 2013 by buctootim

JackanorySFC Posted 3 October, 2013 Share Posted 3 October, 2013 it'll be down south so the Kent one might work, quality idea, love it!! I would go for Clay Pigeon shooting followed by ale/ whisky tasting Turks. Competitive but in a gentlemanly/ exec way with an opportunity for everyone to get p***ed up at the end of it. The shooting is superb, did it through work myself a few times, once in Kent actually, really good day out.
minime Posted 3 October, 2013 Share Posted 3 October, 2013 i went to corporate day a few years back in dorset and the day consisted of hovercraft racing, clay pigeon shooting, archery, mortar firing and using a blunderbust
Pugwash Posted 3 October, 2013 Share Posted 3 October, 2013 Clay pigeon/archery is always a good shout. For more action, Thruxton do karting and driving for corporate events. Slightly more off the wall - try tank driving? http://www.juniper-leisure.com/

Malvern just off the m5 Oh that's reminded me - about 5 years ago we went to a Lotus racing day near Norwich. Racing, lunch and a tour around the factory. It was a great day out! Gemmel Posted 3 October, 2013 Share Posted 3 October, 2013 Two teams - One lot of booze and food Both teams get dropped off at two random places and then follow different sets of clues leading to the same place.....where the booze and food is. First team back get all the booze and food, the other team get nothing. Done it twice....it certainly focuses the mind, when you have to team up with people you dont actually like, but unless you work together, you will be watching other people get drunk and eat like kings. sandwichsaint Posted 4 October, 2013 Share Posted 4 October, 2013 We went to the Brecon Beacons for our team building, goin back 25 years here. Two teams parked their mini buses in two different locations and had to converge at the top of the mountain (then work together) to solve the challenge. Two teams trudged up the mountain for 2 hours and then we met up - I was sort of leading our team (by default),their leader 'We've looked at the maps ('OK'), and we've got a plan ('OK'), we think you need to go back down and move your minibus to 670 301 and then come back up'. Me 'F++k off', it all kicks off at the top of the mountain (two teams of grown men fighting over a buried Mars bar). ..... we laughed about it in the bar later but I can't recommend the Brecon Beacons if you want harmony and a quiet awayday.
