Suspect Coventry V Toon, and us possibly will be on the telly box.IMO.

Mind you, they might fancy an upset with Forest at home to Sunderland.

Leeds v Palace probably a contender too

Brighton v Man City for me.....got all the ingredients for a cup match especially with the current focus on MCFC and its top (corrupt?) dog

Apparently that's being moved because it clashes with City's UEFA Cup ties (only 8 teams in European competition get a bye to the third round - City, as the 9th team, qualifying through the Intertoto, have to take part in the League Cup second round). I think I might have heard a few weeks ago that City had been given permission to play this tie during the week other clubs play the third round ties - in which case this almost certainly won't be on television.

Cov - Newcastle sounds like a good bet for the TV game, Cov have lots of money and Chris Coleman, Newcastle are supposed to be popular. A chance for the upset, too.

I'm not really happy with the draw for us, we have a chance of getting through, but not a great one. At least we're almost certain not to go out to a League Two side for the fourth year running, mind...

If we beat Brumingham on Saturday, which I believe we will, the draw will look like a door into round 3. This comp brings in more gate money so I'm sure the club will take it seriously. True, fans don't find the early rounds of the League Cup very exciting but I still remember being very excited in 1979.

Apart from Manchester City it would seem....

They qualified through the fairplay thingy, that probably why they are still counted as a club that hasn't qualified for a european competition.

Anyway Brum at home isn't exactly an exciting tie.
