Sour Mash Posted 27 September, 2013 Share Posted 27 September, 2013 http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/news/10703022.__450m_Royal_Pier_scheme_on_verge_of_becoming_a_reality/ Anyone think this will actually happen? And if so will be any good? Could be a fantastic opportunity, what the city has needed for years.

The Kraken Posted 27 September, 2013 Share Posted 27 September, 2013 For the first time in years Southampton city planners have had a decent idea. But being a good idea and a good final product are two different things. Ocean Village should have been our version of Gunwharf, but what we actually got was a disaster. I just hope lessons have been learnt and we actually get something good from it. But I think it will actually happen. With this and the cultural district we might actually have a city centre to be proud of. In 20 years time.
