Jack Posted 25 September, 2013 Share Posted 25 September, 2013 Really should be beating this lot, their squad looks weak and they've got an idiot in charge. I'd love another clean sheet from a solid performance, and it's about time we started converting some chances. 2-0 Osvaldo brace
derry Posted 25 September, 2013 Share Posted 25 September, 2013 Rodriguez and Lallana don't look like scoring whilst Ramirez's goal last night and his finish at Barnsley were clinical. We need goals from somebody, both Lambert and Osvaldo can but aren't yet, so for me I'd leave either Rodriguez or Lallana out.

Norwich away hit the post with a cracking strike, WBA missed out on a goal with the tightest of offside decisions, Liverpool away tested their keeper when 1-on-1, should have done better with that one. Brussels Saint Posted 25 September, 2013 Share Posted 25 September, 2013 Front 4 of Lallana, Gaston, J-Rod & Ossie for me. SRL from the bench. Contentious I know, but I'm not convinced Rickie & Ossie work as a pair and Lambert I quite like as a player who can change a game when its needed. Cosmic Posted 25 September, 2013 Share Posted 25 September, 2013 Not sure we need to play the 2 DM's for this game, 1 should be enough. I'd go with a 4-1-3-2. Holy Clyne Lovren Fonte Shaw Victor Lallana Ramirez Jay Dani Rickie Why bother with a keeper? And do we really need four defenders? Surely we'd be better off getting 11 forwards on the pitch..? maxi_sopez Posted 25 September, 2013 Share Posted 25 September, 2013 Hi All I am taking 2 Australian mates to this game it is there first ever Southampton game and Premier League game, normally when i go to St Marys it is a get in and get out job, so not sure where to take them before the game.. Any suggestion of a pub with a good atmosphere beforehand? What else should i be doing so they enjoy their first day in Southampton and St Marys! Ulrich van Gobbel Posted 25 September, 2013 Share Posted 25 September, 2013 I called the 0-1 at Liverpool in the last build up thread (well, I said heart says 0-1, head says 1-1!). So here goes again.. 3-0/3-1 vs Palace An unchanged team - Ossie, SRL and Lallana with the goals!

We do indeed, Saw a Vulcan coming into land once, I was running along a lane near Mallaig, awesome noise, I dived into the adjacent ditch.

DT Posted 25 September, 2013 Share Posted 25 September, 2013 Ramirez for J Rod please. And consider taking Ricky off (shock horror) at some point for J Rod after he's knackered their defence out physically and J Rod's pace can exploit any holes
Saint Fan CaM Posted 25 September, 2013 Share Posted 25 September, 2013 This is undoubtedly a banana skin. I would put Lambert on the bench and have Davis in the hole behind Osvaldo - strong midfield which retains attacking options. Bring on SRL at 75m to either control the game for a win or to attempt recovery if we're losing.
ericb Posted 25 September, 2013 Share Posted 25 September, 2013 Palace have looked poor this season but fortunately for us they've looked very open too. Reckon this will be a 2-0/2-1 to us type of game as they won't park the bus like other teams. Can't wait to take the **** out of the palace ultras too, they quite possibly the most embarrassing thing in football at the moment

There's another difference in the level of opposition, so comparing like for like is a bit daft. Lallana was a 20 goal a season man at lower level. That's another difference. Agree, i can't stand fans that moan about our players when they cba to even watch the matches. Lallana has had numerous chances this season, had the ball in the net once, hit the woodwork twice and keeps getting in good positions. Not to mention assist for Liverpool goal.... In summary of Derry - yup, lets drop lallana
