Viking Warrior Posted 24 September, 2013 Share Posted 24 September, 2013 Bloody awful events in that shopping mall . The pictures show the Kenyan army lacked discipline and no coordinated approach to tackling this atrocity . Maybe the special forces were better organised. Back to what has happened how can terrorist under the name of Islam shoot innocent children and pregnant women . These tosser were indiscrimanate in their shootings even shot fellow Muslims. . Hope the terrorists who survived face an equal barbaric end including the alleged British woman Last Saturday was internallional peace day. Massive e bombs in Iraq , Pakistan and Nairobi . So not very peaceful at all . I'm stunned by the events
amsterdam Posted 25 September, 2013 Share Posted 25 September, 2013 Agree with all you say... It's been a scary few days here; I was planning to got to Westgate Mall last Saturday there is/was a great bookshop on the second floor, but fortunately couldn't be bothered in the end. Apparently there was an SAS guy in one of the coffee shops when it all kicked off; the story is he went back in 12 TIMES and rescued over 100 people - that's bravery... Viking Warrior Posted 28 September, 2013 Author Share Posted 28 September, 2013 Who do the BBC think they are . Yet again they have undertaken an investigation and have reported major failings in the Kenyan army and police forces re the terrorist attack . Christ they are still grieving over there . Yet the beeb as so arrogant they think they are best investigators and detectives in the world . Somebody needs to clip their wings before the do any more damage to investigations and compromise the laws of respective countries
Ludwig Posted 28 September, 2013 Share Posted 28 September, 2013 Who do the BBC think they are . Somebody needs to clip their wings before the do any more damage to investigations and compromise the laws of respective countries but 4 days ago you started this thread saying "the kenyan army lacked discipline and no coordinated approach..." So why is it ok for you to conduct your own investigation and announce your conclusion but its not ok for the BBC to do it?
Viking Warrior Posted 28 September, 2013 Author Share Posted 28 September, 2013 That's true Ludwig I did say they were uncoordinated based on the pictures that were shown . However I did not carry out an investigation . The BBC said they had carried out a full investigation on their news reports . Did they have access and interview latke statements . Did they speak to captured terrorist no . Did they not carry out an investigation on on dwani case and show it as a panorama special the other week . When he is still to face trial ? Ludwig Posted 28 September, 2013 Share Posted 28 September, 2013 Oh, I see. Sorry, the way you announced that the Kenyans were lacking discipline and uncoordinated made be think you'd based this assertion on something. Now you're saying you didn't do an investigation, so can i ask, what evidence did you use to.come to your conclusion? Another point, which i find a bit odd, is that you are complaining about the BBC although you actually agree with what they have said. It seems to me that you just want to have a moan about the BBC. Viking Warrior Posted 29 September, 2013 Author Share Posted 29 September, 2013 Ludwig . My observations on the news footage and being an ex soldier . I thought they should have been more organised . The footage shown was reminiscent of some die hard movie . . I do not agree with the BBC investigation . Their words not mine my point is that any investigation should be carried out by the relevant countries investigation and police forces not the BBC . Basically it can compromise and taint any evidence that is being accrued . They did that panorama documentary on the dwani case and questioning the South African police investigators . When the case against dwanni is still to be heard . Perhaps your one of those people that does not want to see law and order and correct legal processes being undertaken And finally yes I am have a pop at the beeb
Saint in Paradise Posted 5 October, 2013 Share Posted 5 October, 2013 Ludwig . My observations on the news footage and being an ex soldier . I thought they should have been more organised . Looks like that is exactly what the army were then. Kicked the Police out first then got stuck in. Good luck with getting the real truth from Kenya though - "Kenyans are accustomed to corruption - their country is consistently rated as one of the most corrupt in the world" ‘‘It’s disgraceful,’’ said Maina Kiai, one of Kenya’s best-known human rights defenders. ‘‘It’s part of a nasty culture where power means everything, where you take what you can, you do whatever you want, and there’s no accountability.’’ ‘‘A committee of inquiry will be formed,’’ Shah said, sighing, ‘‘and nothing will happen’’. I would love to say I was surprised but I am NOT in the least. http://www.theage.com.au/world/kenyan-mall-looting-blamed-on-soldiers-20131004-2uymp.html
