Yep agree Davis energy and work rate was the game changer his pressing put them under pressure quicker, also his passing and moving, for me SRL would still be number one, i think him and Osvaldo if they both start Sat will score, Palace are awful and Punch is one of there best players but cant play.

Hate to say it, but I said before the season started that Lambert would probably not be the right material to move us on, as great as he's been for us. He hasn't looked likely to score and his touch is starting to elude him too for large parts of the game. Tuesday would be an ideal time for Poch to try a different striking combo out...I for one hope he takes that opportunity.

I hate to say it but with Fox not in the team, who is the next likely target for the miserable player assassins to have a go at next, if not Lambert. But if Lambert wasn't playing you can guarantee they would move on to someone else. As for Lambert, obviously a player good enough to be picked for England can't be worth a place in the Saints' team.

As much as it pains people SRL was only picked for England due to the severe lack of any other strikers. Don't get me wrong he has been great for us but, you can't deny that we played better with out him in the team, this may be the way forward allowing more midfield minded players to come in to the team and bringing SRL on as a impact sub.

The vultures already started circling on big vic.

Lallana and J-Rod are never too far from a good kicking on here either.

Rickie didnt look interest vs Liverpool last season, I think his emotional attachment to Liverpool is too great.

Let's face it would any of you lot be up for playing against Saints? Would you play to your best?

If the club were paying my salary, I would be up for sticking one to Saints for all the money I have wasted on them over the years!

I think this is a good game to rest/rotate SRL, it's a long season, he's played the England games and in all fairness he looks a little jaded

I'd start with Os up front and play Davis who was excellent on Sat and in my mind is very underrated in terms of what he offers. I'd also be tempted to play JWP in pace of JRod
